Yeah, because as soon as the fight's signed he's gonna go off on Floyd.

Why would they waste more time trying to pursue Floyd? Floyd is, by all indications, retired. Only a fool would think that Arum would pass on a fight with Mayweather. Each fighter would stand to make over $100 million with re-matches. That's a lot of money in Arum's pocket.

Some of you PBF fans use the absolute worst logic.

Arum is rushing to get it signed because Marquez wants to be guaranteed a Pacquiao fight before wasting his time with David Diaz this July. I think JMM needs all the time in the world to get himself fit for Pacquiao.

So Pac's team are really now on Marquez? Isnt just a year ago that they were dismissing him, and now theyre having him as sort of a "put the issue to rest" kinda bout.

The answer is no, and here are the reasons why.

            1. Theyre buying time waiting on Floyd. Jr still has legal troubles and is said to wanting to have a tuneup fight before he faces Manny. So TR is filling in Manny with less-risk fights and packaging them good enough for people to buy. They may still have 2-3 fights on buffer.

            2. Involve reneging Golden Boy fighters. What could be best use as buffer fighters than to give it to those who would choose to be disloyal to his arch-rival promotion. Arum used the $$$ signs to entice Mosley to bolt out of GB and have the payday of his life. Thats what theyre doing with Marquez too. Arum knew he has aces up on his sleeves and is bullying his way to his competitor.

my thoughts exactly....not even a month after Manny#s last fight they're ALREADY inking his next fight like Floyd aint the ONLY fight he should be takin' atm....Arum fooled me a couple of times...but I'm on to his scams now!!

But at least its a fight you can watch eh?

These guys will be coming on pretty equal grounds I say. JMM can come in at 135 or whatever and float up to 143ish. Pac will come in at 142 or whatever and float up to 147ish.

Everybody says that JMM is really 2-0 against Pac, now JMM can put his money where his mouth is

The Racket Squad: Beat The Clock- Saga Three.

Most fighters eventually meet up with a cat who has their number.
Mosely was an understood mismatch from day one and would have been over powered by Pac at any age.
But given the two prior Pac/Marquez battles and the way Manny looked against Shane, Marquez should be considered a live underdog.
Sure: the 144 is problematic for Juan, but his heart is still willing, he is always in great condition and he might be able to exploit some issues Manny has left unattended since their first two contests.

In any case, who is left for Pacquiao to conquer?
Mayweather is gone with the wind and asking Pac to go up and challange Martinez would be suicide for a guy who arrived on the scene at 106.

Therefore, this defining trilogy is the best we can anticipate right now.
Otherwise, his selections would be youngsters with potential such as Canelo or Ortiz and thos would be blowouts.

Pac/Marquez will probably be a real fight and the PPV numbers will possibly drop by a half million due to the 'Shame' Mosley exhibition.
But that would be the justice of Arum's greed coming back to haunt him.

Have you seen ANY evidence that Mayweather is fighting again? How do you know what is going on behind closed doors? If Mayweather is still an active fighter, then why has HE not come out and said that he would like to fight Pacquiao in place of Marquez?

Honestly. Use just a little bit of critical thinking. Please.
