Comments Thread For: Darchinyan Willing To Face Donaire in a Rematch For Free

Three-weight world champion Vic Darchinyan is still hoping to entice former foe Nonito Donaire into a rematch and has even offered to give the WBC and WBO champion 100% of the purse to get a rematch with the man regarded as one of the best pound for pound fighters in the sport. Darchinyan was stopped in five rounds by Donaire in 2007.

If only Amir Khan was like this with Prescott, and Ortiz with Maidana.

Fighters who want to avenge their KO losses nowadays are rare. Gotta hand it to Vic for never giving up on a Donaire rematch.

I don't really like Vic, but I acknowledge that he has great punching power, especially at the super flyweight division.

For me he's just too ****y, that's why he lost against Agbeko, he just didn't look in great physical shape in that fight. BUT, he wants to avenge his defeat against Donaire, and that's just great!

Nowadays boxers are starting to lose one vital element of boxing, which is pride. Most boxers now fight only for money, but you have to give credit to fighters such as Vic, he's unfortunately a fighter of a dying breed of boxers.

donaires faster and stronger than the first time they met, vic will be smarter this time, this would be a hell of a fight, bull vs matador. can donaire take vics punches? thats what i want to know, has donaire got a chin? hes like mayweather, so good that we dont get the chance to find out.hes used to not getting hit so maybe he wont adjust well. can he fight inside?

Let's get one thing straight: Vic is not a three-weight champ!!! He's a two-weight champ: 112 lbs. and 115 lbs. The IBO title he won at 118 lbs. does not count, as it is not a major sanctioning organization! If we counted all these non-major sanctioning bodies, there would be about ten champions per weight class (as if four weren't enough)! Obviously we don't want that!!! With that being said, I think he has a great chance of becoming a three-weight champion!
