  • Does anyone else think De Gale will lose on Saturday?

My head tells me he should win. However I'm having a recurring wet dream where he gets badly hurt in the ring and exits on a stretcher. It's so vivid. I am going to the bookies to bet - does anyone know if you can bet on something more than a KO?

He will win. But I am getting worried by how everyone is picking him. I always thought he'd beat Groves. But earlier in their careers, most people were picking Groves.

i hope your right but i reckon de gale wins (although it'll be a lot closer than most expect)

what u mean by betting on more than a KO? Like a specific round? yeah u can do that, or group round betting (ie rds 1-3, 4-6 etc)

        He will win...easily.

He will stop groves within 5 rounds, they are just doing a good job selling the fight. Groves will have some success in the opening couple of rounds and it after that it will be all down hill for him.

I was thinking more along the lines of betting on a coma / death if possible. My recurring wet dream is predicting it.

I may have misinterpreted the original post, but I think he's heading a little further off piste than just round betting etc. I personally don't know of any bookies that will run a book on types of injuries and so on, but they do say that if you actually go into a betting shop and ask then most managers will do bespoke odds on almost anything. It's actually a really thought provoking post. I may go and see what odds I can get for the following treble on Saturday:

            i) DeGale carried from the ring in a stretcher having visibly soiled himself

ii) Cleverly drooling incoherently on Ringside in exactly 12 months time after partially successful brain surgery immediately after the Braehmer fight

            i) Frankie Gavin's dad blinding a female punter during his son's fight on Saturday

You're surely looking at 1000s to one for that? Although DeGale would probably be a lot shorter than the other two as his brain already appears to be running on an incredibly low capacity. I hope Groves does the right thing on Saturday, and takes the padding out of his gloves.

DeGale does everything better than Groves, EVERYTHING.

If he's in good shape and not overlooking Groves (which i'm almost certain he won't), he'll absolutely batter George.

Groves' face will look like he's been smashed up with the fat end of a pool cue.

As much as i'm looking forward to the actual fight, seeing the smug and smarmy look wiped of Adam Booth's face after the fight has me just as excited.

I've got a couple of million points with John Locke that DeGale beats him, but TBH i'm actually hoping Groves somehow manages to pull the upset and beat him.
I think DeGale is going to win though, he is a very good fighter, that much can't be denied.
