    BoxingScene has been advised that Saturday's clash between former Contender series star Alfonso Gomez (22-4-1) and Calvin Green (21-5-1) will be fought at a catchweight of 150 lbs. The fight is the main event on this Saturday evening's Top Rank Live show that takes place at the Morongo Casino Resort and Spa in Cabazon, CA and will be televised by Fox Sports.

                  Calvin Green is the guy that lost to another Contender in Sergio Mora on the B-Hop vs RJJ II undercard. He was very game and threw punches, but was outmatched in that fight, which was above his normal weight class. This is similar though at least Gomez is within his normal weight class, but Gomez is far too skilled for Green. That said, Green will come to throw down, so it should be entertaining while it lasts.
