It's irrelevant anyway because if the "Olympic Style" blood testing was done the same way as in the PBF-SSM fight, there would be a 56 day window between when the contract was signed, and when the actual testing began, and then a 16 day window when no blood tests were administered before the fight.

That wouldn't necessarily catch anyone that was using, and Pac haters would just say he wasn't caught if he won.

This test can detect the substance in a person's system for up to 2 weeks, so if it's done randomly it gives you a MUCH larger window to work with. That sounds like an extremely effective deterrent to me.

The reason the test was developed in the first place was because the players' unions of the nba, nfl, mlb, etc all said that they would never agree to invasive blood testing for their members/athletes and also the obvious inefficiency of the blood test. So it's not irrelevant and all those organizations were/are talking about it (with usada showing their unyielding confidence in the 'gold standard' by funding and helping to develop the urine test). When the test becomes commercially available, you better believe it will be the new standard for all of sports, including boxing.

But if you want to cover your ears, close your eyes, and make believe it doesn't exist until that happens, that's your prerogative.

It says HGH is effective with the combination of anabolic steroids. Urine test detects anabolic steroids.

See that's where the problem lies, all you psuedo PED 'experts' walk around like you actually give a **** about doping in Boxing and then when something like this comes along, which would go a long way towards stamping out cheating in the sport... you say oh, it doesn't matter for Pacquiao-Mayweather.

You do know there's other boxers and fights beyond those two, right? It's ridiculous that ONE fight makes anti-doping relevant to you clowns but then you turn a blind eye to every other fight/fighter.

I've said it before, I'll say it again- this whole testing fiasco has just exposed how ***********al Boxing is as an institution, specifically how weak and useless the commissions are. There should be ONE commission (worldwide or at least nationwide), ONE commissioner, ONE standard for ALL fighters. You can't have one guy running around trying to make up his own rules and testing procedures just for HIS fights. Can you imagine if Derrick Rose went against the NBA and refused to play in the ECF unless Lebron James had never before performed tests performed on him, then went on vacation for over a year (and counting)?

That would be ridiculous, but this is what we have in Boxing today.
