Guadalajara, Jalisco - At 4am on Monday May 16, Don Aurelio Solis Sanchez, father of Ulises "Archie" Solis and Jorge "Coloradito" Solis, who are both world champions in boxing, passed away at his home in Guadalajara, Santa Clemencia and 72nd Street. He was based in the United States but for health reasons he returned to Mexico to be with his children and to celebrate Mother's Day on May 10 . The body of Don Aurelio is veiled in his house, but he's being moved to the Apozol city of Zacatecas, which is his birthplace, for burial in the cemetery where his parents and other relatives were put to rest. Don Aurelio is survived by 11 children and his wife.
