Marquez discusses the Evolution of Manny Pacquiao

or rather la Evolucion de Manny Pacquiao. Translations please?

    Edit: Translation included below

In his first analysis he basically says that Manny was a one dimensional fighter only using the 1-2 combo with his movement to catch people with the straight left. He said his left is so fast and strong, he made a career of it at the beginning.

He said he went on to use the right hand later on in his career using the right hook specifically to counter your left jab and come over the top with it and then set you up for the left hand. He even started incorporating the upper cut a punch he used rarely early on in his career.

He said he also uses great feints to land to the head. He feints you to the body to go to the head which isn't rare but he does it with his feet. He comes in and out so fast and throws to the body that you look for it then he comes in with that straight left that Marquez described as "like a lightning bolt".

He said he fell for that feint in the first fight but went back and adjusted to that move and didn't get caught that way in the second fight.

He was asked how he saw him vs Mosley and he said he looked the same, a little slower of foot but still very explosive. The host told him that Manny said he suffered from leg cramping and Marquez said that must be why he didn't move as much but that Mosley also was scared and refused to fight.

He was asked what the key on beating Mosley is. He said it's moving WITH the rhythm of Pacquaio and using counter punches to slow him down. Using hooks and uppercuts on the inside to counter his feints and movement.

Use angles and also feint him because he is susceptible to feints as well and use the right hand and upper cut combo specifically.

The host then says, " Can he be beat?" Marquez answers "Of course, but you can't be scared because you can't beat anyone with fear inside of you" the host then says that Mosley was scared and Marquez answers, "Very scared and he just didn't want to be knocked out".

Marquez is looking solid man, he doesn't look like a guy who is 38 years old. He looks like a 20 year old and in great shape for not training for a fight.

If you look at full transcripts of interviews (not the little excerpts reported here and there), you'll realise he has huge respect for Pac. Nothing wrong with that.

I thought a Pac fan would be pleased instead of trying to belittle him for it.

Marquez basically says Manny used to be a one two fighter(which he still is IMO) however he has improved greatly using the right hand for hooks and uppercuts. Marquez gave a detailed demonstration on how he knocked down himself and Mosley using faints, stepping back and throwing a one two, with extreme velocity.

Marquez then goes on to say how he would beat him. By keeping up with his pace, counter punching, and using lots of movement.

At the end of the video he said Pacquiao can be defeated. He also said if you're scared you're not gonna win period.

                .
Bolded for the truth. That's always been the key to beating Pac. Its what Morales did, its what JMM was successful at. I'm just not sure JMM can keep up anymore (especially @144).
