    guru speaks on wlad/peter

    - peter can take a punch
    - peter's technique is amatuerish, sloppy
    - peter has limited boxing skills, he's a slugger
    - wlad's chin is better than most thought... it aint great but it aint glass either(kinda like lewis?)
    - wlad's stamina is not a problem
    - wlad's confidence is not a problem
    - wlad has heart, he showed it against sanders and he showed it again tonight by getting up from KD's and big shots
    - wlad's career is becoming similar to lewis

where does peter go from here? he going to struggle against the skilled guys in the division. peter reminds me mercer, who also had a good chin and punch but never won the title. only peter doesnt even have mercer's skill level, but he's young and can learn alot in the next 5 years..

where does wlad go? the future looks good for wlad, he just beat the one guy that was supposed to be all wrong for him(big puncher, with a good chin)... oustide of brewster how many other big punchers are there in the division? very few. wlad matches up well against almost everyone else(byrd, toney, ruiz, brock, tos). ...

even with a good trainer, peter is gonna need 3-5 years to develop.. he's got tons of natural ability, but little experience

just a couple comments on the fights:

          - wlad did alot of holding, peter did alot of hitting to the back head, so it equals out...
          - this win was better for wlad than if he just KO'd peter in 2 rounds... he answered back at some of the critism.. how many thought wlad could go 12 rounds and survive some big punches to win...
          - IMO, round 5 wlad was hurt, but the KD's were not legit... the first one he was hit in the back of the head, the 2nd he wasnt even hit... he did get KD in the 10th though...

"wlad's chin is better than most thought... it aint great but it aint glass either(kinda like lewis?)"
Wlad's problem is that he loses his legs when he's hurt, and with a chin that I agree isn't glass but isn't great either, that's going to be an ongoing problem.

"wlad's stamina is not a problem"
This is by no means a crertiantly yet. He looked okay yesterday, but Peter's stamina was worse, thowing in single digits in the last half of the fight. Floating around and flicking out jabs wouldn't take a lot out of Wlad's stamina, so I'd say the jury is still out there on that one.

"wlad's confidence is not a problem"
Completey disagree. Whenever he's stunned and jelly legged, his eyes are like saucers and he has the "Uh oh it's happening again" look on his face. I think it's going to be a long process regaining his confidence. Seeing him dropped 3 times in this fight (although he showed heart in getting up) doesn't exactly mend his confidence back to where it once was.

"wlad's career is becoming similar to lewis"
This comment is completely off base. Lewis was cold ****ed with single punch KO's and came back to dominate in the rematches. Wlad hasn't reversed any of his losses. Not to mention Wlad hasn't won a major title in his career to this point (that's right the WBO is not a credible title). A bad and unnecessary compairison.

                    - we agree about his chin

                    - i think his stamina is going to be fine, he's only had two fights where it was an issue vs several where it was not, but we'll see

                    - of course he's not going to look confident when he's hurt, he knows he can be KO'd, but for the most part he fought with confidence...

                    - i said it is "BECOMING" like lewis, i didnt say it was like lewis... he is starting to fight like lewis, jabbing, clinching wisely, pacing himself... he is in position to fight a title... they're are parrallels and similarities forming between him and lewis, i dont see where it is either bad or unnecessary
