Comments Thread For: Farhood's Take on Pacquiao-Marquez Trilogy, Mayweather

Sitting inside of the Sports book inside of Buffalo Bill's Casino in Primm, Nevada, Showtime analyst Steve Farhood was less than an hour removed from calling the wild Sharif Bogere-Raymundo Beltran fight but was still in the talking mood. Farhood is always one for a great interview because of his knowledge and objectivity towards the sport and I caught up with him after last night's card to get his take on his some recent happenings in the game. i am also of the idea that no fighter fears another fighter...but when everybody is calling a fighter to fight another but refuse to fight for a variety of reasons, it is the same as saying that a fighter is scared to fight...

long ago mayweather was saying he can beat pacquiao even if pacquiao was into drugs but when the calls to fight pacquiao mounts, he simply can't find any reason to validate his excuses...this after pacquiao dismantled the bigger fighters that mayweather cannot even knock down...

when pacquiao made delahoya quit, knocked out hatton in two, shamed clottey, knocked cotto out, cut margarito into pieces and dominated mosley like no fighter has done before, chicken floyd mayweather changed his outlook in boxing...it is because he is afraid to fight pacquiao...for he knew very well that pacquiao will knock him out too...

"...and than he will come back into the ring."

"...bad timing, than shame on him."

The word is THEN! Use it, morons!

While Manny vs Floyd would be great to see(on paper), Manny vs Bradley/Judah and Floyd vs Victor could be great fights, as well. Just wouldn't quite mean as much.

I don't think you understood what I was doing.

MY: "I don't think he fear Manny Pacquiao." [sic]
means the following. SIC is an editorial comment used to show that an original has an error.

I presume that author is being paid as a professional writer for his work, yet his grammar is lacking. The sentence should obviously have "fears" not "fear". A grammar checker could have been used.

So I was not commenting at the time on whether Floyd fears Pac, and won't here either.

+1. The writers at fight hype are shocking also.

first of all mayweather has plenty of money.arum can't buy him like he buys everybody else.second if mayweather gets 50mil and pac gets 27% of the 50mil he makes then the other $150mil gross goes to toprank.no way in hell does mayweather stand for that.

floyd signed the contract first. he agreed to the 10mill weight stipulation, the 8oz gloves, the 147 fight weight, and 50-50 split. then he himselve ask pac to take a drug test and manny ****ed up the fight with excuses..now pac fakes like he wants to take the test and fight.

only after mayweather got in trouble is when pac started talking **** that he'll do testing and wanted to fight mayweather.no man can train well under those circumstances so pac and arum started talking in the media knowing good and dam well mayweather would'nt fight.
