This. Ward is EASILY the most underrated fighter on these boards and its absolutely ridiculous.

Ward > Donaire. He's the more polished fighter whos fought better opposition as well as demonstrating much more versatility than Nonito. The guy has everything right now:

        - A crisp strong jab that he mixes up all the time, and throws it CONSISTENTLY. So many fighters meet their doom due to a neglect to the jab and I can't see this happening to ward.

        - Defense. Ward is very technically sound and actually has taken some solid shots and hasn't been rocked. He can mix it up but never gets too reckless.

        - Intelligence. Ward is a VERY smart fighter and it shows that he does his homework before every fight. I did not expect that hard jab to the body tonight against abraham, it was extremely effective in taking the wind out of him.

        - The little things. Ward uses every little possible thing to his advantage, hes crafty as hell. He will tie up immediately if he feels he could be in trouble, hes great at measuring his distance between him and his opponent.

        - Physical traits. He has a solid foundation, good handspeed and combination punching along with great footwork. People want to complain about his power, while it may not be explosive knockout power hes FAR from a pillow fisted fighter. Everyone he fights looks like they respect his power, and down the line the knockouts will come IMO.

        - Will to win. The guy hasn't lost a fight since he was 12 years old, is an olympic gold medalist yet he STILL fights every minute of EVERY fight. Its so often that you see talent take rounds off, yet you can see he trains hard and has great conditioning because he never looks unfocused during fights. You can literally see it on his face, hes the kind of guy that would never fold in the ring. Its rare to see such polished fighters be so hungry.

        - The biggest factor: Versatility. Ward is the most complete, polished young guy in the game right now. Jab, combination punching, he can throw to the body accurately if he wants. He can step in and out with his combination punching and jab to box someones ears off yet hes also a TERRIFIC in-fighter. Hes absolutely picked apart Green on the inside and people want to complain about the entertainment factor of that fight but I enjoyed watching that mastery.

Nonito on the other hand, is an explosive force but hes getting waaaaaay too overhyped. Its known that hes big as hell for his weight class, and in his last few fights its been hugely noticable. He needs to move up in weight and fight some real opposition soon enough.

Donaire by a very long way.

                Ward is very overrated.

I think Nonito is better but right now Ward does have a better resume.
