      1-gatti is the wbc champ
2-dont trash him...god no one ever gives him a chance btu gives a exciting match everytime and wins
3-gattis heart, stamina, chin, and streght will always give him a great shot at beating anyone from cotto to KT..so it would be wrong and a big mistake to cut out gatti cuz he's a true warrior that can come back to beat you at anytime

I said BEAT a top 10 lightwelter. Not that he isn't one. Tszyu, Floyd, and Harris are above him. I also think Hatton, Cotto and possibly Mitchell would beat him.

Gatti hasn`t beaten a top ten light welterweight ( in fact he has only won one fight where the opponent was world class above 130lbs, this was Dorin ). Gatti should be Jesse James but what kind of big win is it? Mayweather would beat Gatti, Tsysu would be the better fight for Gatti as Tsysu`s chin isn`t that great. But Gatti is a good light welter, he just isn`t world class!

Please watch Tszyu vs Phillips and then tell me that Tszyu has a bad chin. He took some total bombs that night was finally stopped on his feet. Seriously, watch the fight. Tszyu has a wide stance and is always prepared for anything coming his way.

I see this as an easy Gatti win. From the Bojado fight JJL had, I really don't see how JJL will have any chance vs Gatti. When I watch some of Gatti's fights, mainly him vs Ward, I wonder, how the hell can anyone, I don't care how great your chin is, stand up to the power shots he throws? Full body weight in every punch, turning them in, throwing so many that they break through your defense and get in. It just amazed me how well Ward was able to take it. I don't see the average fighter being able to withstand all that. JJL I know won't be able to.

                Gatti by KO5
You're right. I could easily see this becoming the bloodiest fight in the history of boxing. Both are prone to cutting.

I love Leija, and I think in his fights with Camacho, Jr. and with Bojado he proved he still has what it takes to remain viable in boxing, but I don't think he's still viable at the championship level.

As for Gatti, I think having Ward in his camp is going to help to become more complete. If you glued the 2 of them together, you could make the greatest, toughest heavyweight ever

Just watch the Delahoya fight. Gatti's offense looks magnificient because Ward was right there to be hit. If a boxer gets his offense in and then moves out, he can easily beat Gatti.
Gatti's KO percentage is at around 76% which is good, but not great considering his fought against a fair share of B class fighters. His power looks tremendous because of the leverage and rotation he puts into it, but Ivan Robinson took a fair amount of leather in his two fights with Gatti and it didn't seem to phase him too much. I see many fighters in the division beating Gatti. JJL may not be one of em as he is old and not exactly in his prime, but i can see this fight being a close scrap.
