Congress works around his schedule, plus he's only in the U.S. for the press tour (about a week) & the last month or so of training camp so if the fight happened in mid August, he'd have 2 full months to take care of business at home.

Plus, Congress is adjourned from early June-late July (He'd be able to train w/o distraction): http://www.congress.gov.ph/legisinfo...r&regses=first

Only reason this isn't happening for another 6 months is JMM's insistence on wasting everyone's time with Diaz in Mexico.

JMM hasn't beaten a good fighter yet since they've fought. Pacquiao hasn't either outside of maybe Cotto and I say that with a grain of salt. But basically what I'm trying to say is that all the guys that JMM has fought are no measuring stick at all for how he'd do against Pacquiao at a higher weight.

SERIOUS???? Ok so then champ Casamayor, 1 defeat Juan Diaz(2x), and Michael Katsidis weren't good fighters??? While Marquez was fighting young lions, Pac has been fighting old past there prime fighters i.e. De La Hoya,Hatton,Margacheato, and Mosley. Diaz was a gimme and Cotto was the only one I give him praise for. Even though this was the post Marg-weight drained version of Cotto. Don't forget JMM went 12 w/ Mayweather. Marquez more than deserves this shot!

I think it is pointless to say this but dammit, I'm still going to say it.

When Pacquiao beats Marquez cleanly this time there better be no excuses like Marquez is old and he was bloated. OK?

Marquez and Berstain both agree that JMM and Pacquiao will rehydrate at the same weight at 148 lbs but no higher than 150 lbs. Also, JMM got what he wanted that if Pacquiao goes over a pound he will get fined $1,000,000 for each pound over 144 lbs.

Next year, will be completely different because Pacquiao will completely eliminate all the top 5 Welterweights of 2008 who were Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Clottey, and De La Hoya. He will even bury one of his opponents back to the ground. 2012 is going to be another Pacquiao run worthy of being called All Time Great. Bradley, Rios, Martinez, Mikey Garcia, Judah, Mike Jones, and many more are just the endless possibilities for Pacquiao.

Next year, will be a year to remember. This year is settling personal grudges and eliminating all the past obstacles.

uhhh im no ***** but how can u not se a pattern with pacs opponets, ?? and how is marquez not old at 38?? because u want credit where credit is NOT due for pacman??? yes jmm is old, and he's a litweight to boot, again pac only fights no-hopers, jmm whupped pacs ass in both fights already , but the ship has sailed on a 3rd bout , that shoulda happened 3 yrs ago not now, pac is coming off a historic run of fighting washed up bums, this is just a continuation of the same.while jmm has more in the tank than his previous opponents, hes still 38 and a liteweight, in other words OLD ,the only thing thats remotley interesting is that pac didnt look so great against mosley.

yes what you said is utterly pointless because jmm is 135lber at best and he IS OLD AT 38. whats historic to pacfans is garbage to boxing fight fans, every matchup u mentioned is garbage with exception of rios andmartinez, I garuntee you Sergio Martinez will be fighter of the yr again, not pac, fighting washed up bums one after the other after the other in case youve not notcied is NOT impressing anyone ,not even pacfans, he needs to fight ortiz or mayweather at welter or move to 154lbs where theres plenty of guys that can whipp that overrated ass.I for one am not paying for another pac fight unless its against someone good, someone that brings and equal amount of danger, not another washed up bum coming off a devastating loss, screw that thats just ******, thats not even a fair fight.FIGHT SOMONE GOOD MANROID AND TAKE THE DAMN TEST!!!!!!!!!!!

Marquez is still a nightmare style for Manny. The big reason why people are ****ting on this fight is because Manny carries the weight a lot better, but don't be surprised if Juan comes in very light. Manny needs to prove people that his win wasn't a fluke and JMM wants to prove that he can finally beat Manny.

The only thing that would **** this fight up is if JMM's age really shows.

Bradley would've been an interesting fight as well, but he should be fighting Khan instead.

                      Marquez has no chance.

You got Mosley saying that's the hardest he's ever been hit in his career and he was getting lumped up from the grazing shots Pac was landing. Looking at the line of big men he's now sawed through.. I just don't see it, not even with Juan's countering ability. If he thought Floyd smiled when he clocked him at welter, wait till he hits Manny to no effect this time.

Total mismatch at this point. Pac UD.
