I'm a HUGE fan, Wlad is my favorite boxer, but I'm still realistic
Come one, every time Wlad got hit, it was like he was replaced by someone else and tried to survive... and as soon as he got passed it, it was all him, in control, again
I SAID he took a COUPLE shots right on the jaw and took them very well, not all shots! He took some shots that would KO some people. Watch it again
I was glad that Vlad won but there are some big problems:
1. After the first to rounds were he had a jabbin clinic going he stopped jabbing. He started to hold his hand out and just throw power punches. Anytime he stopped throwing he got caught...
2. When he got nailed, instead of grabbing or jabbing and trying to keep his distance he decided to jump in and try to land a hook. WTF? You just got rocked, get that jab pumping!!
3. Just ****ing Pump that jab all day long. He had long intervals where he was just waiting and Peter was getting closer. Pump that ****ing jab.
4. The time that he went down I noticed he wasnt that hurt but more just to excited or something to know what to do.
Edit: 5. Stewart was tellin him to counter after Peter threw his shot and was off balance, that never really happened... Well I think with more experience he will be able to do it.
Anyway cong**** to Vlad on winning against one of the most dangerous guys in the division. A whoop for Manny Stewart who made this win happen. I seriously think if it had been any other trainer he would have been knocked out!
I gotta admit, I said Wlad by ko maybe as early as round 5 or 6, and I was wrong. Of course what took place was much better. Wlad took a few shots and didn't wilt. He was also able to regain composure after all the rabbit punches and continue to move and score. He moved and fought until the end of the fight and wobbled Peter badly in the last round, showing that he does have at least decent conditioning. I do think that Wlad could have KO'd Peter if it weren't for being so reluctant to throw punches and put himself in harm's way. One thing I was right about though, is that once Peter got tagged a few times, he lost his confidence and fought like post-Douglas Tyson. Overall, I'm very satisfied with Wlad's performance.
Apparently no one has explained the rules of boxing to Peter. He needs to learn that it's not illeagal to try to duck or dodge a punch. Dummy just stood there.
I really wasn't impressed with either fighter. No body attack from either. A jab and right from Wlad and wild and looping shots from Peter. There are other punches that are legal, guys.
I hope Wlad's success tonite doesn't turn him into the next hug and mug Ruiz type fighter.
I would also add that Vitali would have Knocked him out
And I think he would have given major trouble for Brewster, who's another great brawler.
Both Great chins, both could punch! Great fight

I disagree, I think Peter's style would have been more successful on Vitali, who doesn't jab and use range like Wlad. Vitali may have stood up to the punches, but that's by no means a certin win for Vitlali just because Wlad won.
