I was very impressed with Cotto

This guy just impressed me tonight. Cotto showed that he has a heart of a champion, being hurt like 3 different times, he was just keep coming back. This not about chin baby, it's all about heart.

Also I was impressed with Torres. Both of these put on a great fight. I don't think many people will want to fight Torres after tonight. Why would Cotto's people take this fight, it was ****** choice, that almost costed them.

Are you kidding me? He fought a guy with a bloated record; Torrest only fought 6 figheters with winning records before fighting Cotto. He was hurt and could have been Knocked out if he was fighting anyone better but Torres ran out of gas so fast, and he consistently was fighting the wrong fight by exching with Torres, who obviously had the better arsenal in his right hand.

Exactly if you can get up from a knock down and survive while your rocked and win by KO you are champ material.

Torres can punch. I don't see many people take that many punches & come back. If you don't respect Cotto's heart after tonight, then you really should not watch another boxing match.

I agree...he fought a powerful puncher who kept coming and would not stopped...went down...rocked several times...but each time kept composure...danced it out to clear his head...kept poised...and eventually won the fight...

there are only so many fights a fighter can look perfect...it is what you do to win and how you handle adversity that shows a lot about the fighter...

Well, if Cotto takes anything from this win, it'll be that he cannot exchange punches with Hatton or Mayweather because it will be GOODNIGHT SLEEPING BEAUTY.

Parodius and Tyrant, it's good to see that you give Cotto the credit he deserves for overcoming unexpected obstacles. Some posters just bash because they are fanboys of either Mayweather or Hatton.

I wasn't very impressed by Cotto's performance... What is wrong with his chin??? He doesn't seem to have any punch resistance!

Cotto proved his heart and chin and did real well at keeping on moving when he was hurt....I do think a more experienced fighter like PBF,Hatton ect. may have put his lights out.....He was doing fine when he was boxing and going to the body but found himself it trouble when he started exchanging with Torres who had a pretty heavy right hand.

cotto showed us all exactly what he is...........a fringe title holder fighting ppl with padded records, and he nearly got done and was lucky that torres ran out of gas.....

any by the way, improve your grammar please...what does this mean "being hurt like 3 different times"
