I know there will be many people dancing in the streets over this news, due to the loaded gloves issue. I find it difficult to be happy about another man being seriously injured like this. This has ramifications that go beyond boxing.

Now I suppose it boils down to whether or not you believe he KNEW that he was fighting with loaded gloves against Cotto (if he was in fact fighting with loaded gloves against Cotto).

Once Brother Naazim found them prior to the Shane fight, many assume he had them during the Cotto fight. I don't know though. Call me naive but I find it much more logical that his trainer did that without Marg's knowledge. There was never really any proof that Margs knew about it, aside from circumstantial evidence and a lot of presumptions.

If he KNOWINGLY did it, then it becomes a bit of a karma moment, as Cotto could have been seriously injured. If he was an unfortunate unknowing participant at the hands of his former trainer, then....

I dunno. I just don't feel any happiness at this news.
