Anybody remember The Godfather I, when Michael Corleone "took care" of business and murdered the heads of the five families? (great film btw). Before his retirement, I believe Uncle Bob is doing the same thing.

Firstly, the guy is a freakin' puppetmaster and once he got ahold of his highest-prized puppet (Pac), he took care of business against the other promoters...

In addition, he is very effective in his campaign of degrading his former clients, Mayweather and Dela Hoya. In addition, he has some of the most prolific boxing writers like Thomas Hauser in his backpocket (ever imagine why Hauser's articles are posted directly in the Top Rank website?). Lastly, he has control majority of the boxing world where he makes matches that are not in the boxing public's best interest.

If Bob isn't the real Godfather, then I don't know who is.

Sadly, Arum does better than GBP. The fights GBP puts on its undercard are such ****, that it still stinks many PPV's later. Meaning, you don't expect a good fight to be before the main event, and there's no saving the fight. At least that's my perspective.
