    WV2-inspiration

This is about what it means to have an inspiration, someone to inspire you to perform better. To get past your first loss, to improve. Wilfredo Vazquez senior knows what it all means. He has experienced quite a few losses, but came back stronger after almost every loss. With the exception of the Hamed loss, where he was already aging and past prime, he has bounced back and taken a title not long after losing a fight. It was after his most devastating one, the KO1 loss to Israel Contreras, that he started his longest title reign as WBA SBW champ, a reign that would last 3 years and would see him make 9 title defenses.

But...is son always like father? Thats what we can ask ourselves. I think he is. After losing his last fight, he expressed regret that his father stopped it. His words were true of a champion. He would rather get knocked out than stopped on his feet. I wish you luck WV2 and may you bounce back just as strongly as your father did.
