Honestly, why is it so hard for a pro to throw a straight punch?

    some pro's are successfull throwing looping punches on purpose and use it as part of their arsenal.

    but amatuers,less expierienced club fighters like peter use it because they are anxious and want to kill the guy and can't control themselves.its a flaw that a good trainer trys to get rid of.

      Not only that it really tough for some guys to generate power with a straight punch. Marciano threw a beautiful straight right but that’s because he kept it ****ed up right so it would come out as a straight angle. When learning how to fight I copied Marciano’s right but unlike Marciano I don’t turn my hand I keep my thumb point to the sky and twist a little on impact.
