Arum has always had the media wrapped around his finger, it was like that in the 1970s and 1980's. Pacquiao fans have to understand that Arum has always been caught in some sneaky deals.

The only other person who had the power of the media was Don King, and his was nothing compared to Arum. Arum could take a bum fighter that only has 6 victories and have people calling him the greatest of Alltime.

I know for a fact that Top Rank shuns publications who don't write what they want to hear. If you criticize Manny you can expect your press credentials and access to their fighters to be cut off, and that is a big deal for anyone covering the sport. Look how Dan Rafael attacks Floyd and praises Manny to the skies, and how he fell in line to hype the Mosley debacle even though he knew it was a bad matchup.

Maybe journalists are not "on the Top Rank payroll" per se, but Top Rank certainly uses its clout to unduly influence coverage of their fighters, so that you are often not getting objective reporting on anything involving Top Rank fighters and their opponents.

i disagree i think more like boxingscene on golden boy's payroll/

i mean straight after pac vs mosley fight, they aint been nothing but pacman on ped threads.

i seen more anti pac threads than floyds.

Thomas Hauser. That Shill hasn't written an article since Nov of last year. I assume his next piece will be solely focused on Mayweather, and his misdemeanor court cases. He can't glorify the Pacquiao/Mosley farce and he can't criticize HBO, because there actually making the best fights.
