Would Mike Jones vs Paulie be a good fight to make right now?

After Jones has his stay busy fight? I think it's a good fight for both of them. Mike Jones would earn a win over a game named opponent like Paulie before he step in there with Berto & Ortiz. Paulie kind of needs a win like this over a hungry young lion if he ever wants to try and get a fight like Berto or Ortiz to prove he's still relevant. Although Paulie has no power, the man is scrappy as ****. haha I think it'd be a good fight for Jones to show off how good he truly is.

    Thoughts?

I mean yeah most likely Mike would beat him up but I just think it'd be a good fight for both because it gives Jones that win over a named guy to maybe attract Berto or Ortiz who are looking for big fights so you gotta at least have something on your resume.

Paulie needs something like this too like I said to keep him relevant although it would make him more then that I think if he pulled off the upset.

I'm just not sure Berto & Ortiz jump at the chance to fight him soon because they seem to be common names brought up for Floyd, Pac, Marquez, and even a few Jr. WW's.

Well if you're Paulie Malgnaggi why not go for a Zaveck or Senchenko? One of the weaker title holders?

And, if you're GBP why not match Ortiz against a feather fisted guy that has a name? And, Malignaggi is a Golden boy fighter. So that could be a perfect fit as well.

But, I agree if it's to enhance Mike Jones name that would be pretty good. Or maybe Jones vs Clottey?

          Jones-Clottey makes more sense.

            sad but...
if Paulie beats Jones, jones was overrated
if jones beats Paulie, paulie was shot

i think at this point Paulie could beat one of the weaker title holders like someone mentioned THEN lose the title to one of the younger fighters..

sucks cuz i like paulie but he just doesnt bring the power the other guys have

i agree. i think paulie should take the fight simply cuz i dont think he can do any better. but jones can, he wouldnt get any credit for beating paulie and paulie doesnt have the kind of style that would help jones improve as a fighter. he really gets nothing out of it.

there was talk about jones fighting kell brook a while back, i always suspected warren was just full of **** and would never make the fight but i would be happy to be proven wrong. clottey is another good fight, could be hard but if successful jones would raise his stock alot and learn even more.

I thought Clottey was done at welterweight? He would still be really dangerous for Mike Jones too, Paulie is a better confidence builder.
