I mean he made Clottey, Cotto and Mosley(whos tough as nails) retreat and basically pack it in after they felt his power. He made those big welterweights fight like cowards.. Props to Tony for actually TRYING to win.. Hopefully JMM doesnt do the same when he finds out Manny hits much harder now than he did when they fought a few years ago.
Pacman is a beast, gotta give him credit..

And whats scary is that Pac isn't even in his prime and he wasn't even trying 100% in those fights.Comment

None of them Fought as hard as Tony did but please don't compare Cotto to Clottey and Mosley. Miguel fought harder then both of them combined the first half of the fight. 2nd half, he got on the mongoose but he took way more punishment then Clottey and Mosley. Those two showed up for paychecks. Cotto tried to fight as best as he coiuld and when he saw I would get ko if he continued, yeah, he retreated but its an insult to compare his performance to Clotteys and Mosleys. Miguel got beat up, those two tried not to get beat up.Comment

That is a link to a New York Daily News article written by the late Bill Gallo. Mr. Gallo died this Monday at the age of 88. He is part of the New York sport life. I grew up in New York. I read the Daily News almost everyday and seen this man's cartoons and read many of his opinion articles.
And it is funny to think this old great man gave Manny Pacquiao all the credit the boxer deserve. He even admitted that the only competition Manny has is by moving him against bigger and tougher men even all the way up to the Heavyweight division. I say that is a great acknowledgement to Pacquiao and to his skills.
Similar to Teddy Atlas, who flip flops between praising and diminishing Pacquiao's boxing career. I think I will just settle with this question that, if Pacquiao is not such a great fighter then why is everyone talking about him? I guess that is where the true answer lies. ATG and GOAT are all subjective to everyone but as of right now no one with good authority and media presence deny that Pacquiao is truly a great fighter.
Sorry but I can't help it but write like this.Comment
