Comments Thread For: Abraham's Promoter: Ward's Side is Losing Confidence

Hall of Fame-Promoter Wilfried Sauerland has voiced his astonishment over Virgil Hunter´s comments at yesterday´s official Super Six World Boxing Classic press conference. The trainer of WBA Super-Middleweight Champion Andre Ward claimed that Sauerland has lost confidence in Abraham because he demanded neutral judges and a neutral referee.

Ward may very well win with his head butting, holding and elbows but he isn't getting no "brutal KO"

Ward, has not and, will never brutally knock someone out in his career. He plays it way too safe and his puches are made for flash(speed and look good) not power.

Ward by impressive KO/TKO NLT Round 9. Bet the house, farm, whatever. All of these butt-hurt Eurocentric types who spout off about how dirty Ward is are completely blind to what Ward does in the ring. He has shown himself to be far and away the most complete fighter in the Super Six, and he will show it again against AA. I hope Froch brings his A-game against Johnson, because I really look forward to seeing Ward embarrass Froch too. Everybody was all gaga about Froch's performance against AA, but Ward is going to shine a light on that victory when he shows us all again how incredibly overrated AA was and still is.

I think Ward is going to get an UD, but still if Abraham manages to get in range to fire some clean shots, then Ward is going to have serious problems. I don't really like Ward's style, he uses his head a lot, thats how he actually destroyed Kessler fight (which still I think he won, don't get me wrong), and I actually believe that the Super 6 tournament is going to have a british champion, Froch is actually a much better fighter than some people believe.

Agree with Sauerland on this one. Honestly, if Ward's promoter and trainer are so confident in his fighter, then why they are getting frustrated about the referees and official judges?? I mean if you know you are going to win this fight easily then travel to Germany and fight your fight...The point is, will non-califorian referee let Ward fight his "fight"(headbutt and stuff) ? hell noooo...

Ward, by..... any way he wants.

The nightmares will start for Abe almost immediately, he will never settle, he will never be able to establish himself, and he will never get his game going against Ward.

Ward is a very complete young fighter, and he is well-aware that Abraham is extremely vulnerable right now. King Arthur is getting worked over in this one.

It is gonna be a bad night for Abe, and possibly his last fight at 168.
