Most backfired fight for a promotor?

In recent years I can think of Pavlik/Hopkins being a HUGE backfire for Arum. He had plans of making Kelly into a huge star, haha and hopkins ruined it. but in hindsight, it really wasn't that big of an upset seeing how Hopkins is basically the same fighter he always has been, minus a little dexterity, balance and speed.

Chris Eubank v Nigel Benn II

Don King had in the contract that both the winner and loser would have to do their next for 4 or 5 fights with him. The fight was a draw and both fighters got out of the deal and signed with other promoters.

Lopez Salido and at the time Khan Vs Prescott and Ortiz vs Maidana. (Both Khan and Ortiz have done well since those 2 fight but it damaged them for a period)

It does not get any worse than Pacman vs DLH. Especially when you realise that Arum is basically using Pac as bait to lure fighters from GBP, and destroy GBP piece by piece in the process.

all EXCELLENT examples . LOL especially the one Furn cited about both of the fighters getting out of Don King's grasp because they drew. hahaha that is pretty epic.
