HBO2 and EPIX Boxing News from Steve Kim

HBO2: A couple months ago Steve Kim had announced that HBO was looking at adding a monthly bigger budget "SHOBOX" essentially series that would air on HBO2. Well a few weeks ago he stated he suspected the idea was rejected, but now it may be not be gone. It could start up in the fall with Top Rank being apparantly being involved.

EPIX: The channel very few people get is apparently looking at adding Sturm-Macklin as a possibility after they've just confirmed they are doing the Braehmer-Cleverly and DeGale-Groves card. Hope they fix their streaming, get on Directv/Comcast/and all the other TV providers, and get rid of Lennox Lewis.

Do they know when it will start? Hopefully it is not monopolized with arum and golden boy getting all the dates.

agree. As long as premiums are gonna do boxing they might as well do more of it.

It was originally gonna be GBP, Shaw, DiBella, and I'd imagine Goosen and others. The only reason Top Rank was brought up was because they were excluded in the initial news. It's not Top Rank exclusive.

Or maybe they are trying to bribe arum back. Like they are doing with chavez vs zbik.
