I don't lean on the ref as much because 1. Laurence Cole is a bottom tier referee.

    2. Marg was still moving forward and throwing punches. He's a machine that doesn't stop flinging his arms out there.

The corner should have known better. They know Tony better than anyone else in the stadium except for his wife.

They should've stepped up to save Tony from himself.

If Margarito ends up not fighting anymore, all the blame should be directed to them for not having the courage to throw in the towel and save their fighter's career.

Of course Robert Garcia had to joke about Mosley saving himself from getting a beating.

Don't get the wrong idea. I like Garcia and thought this interview was funny.

Your 100% right, the job of the fighter is to have the attitude that he's willing to die in the ring, but it's the job of the ref and corner to protect the fighter.

            They should have stopped it.

Def hope that his career isn't over.

And REALLY hope his eye is good for the rest of his life in his non-boxing career.

His issues not withstanding, it's good having him around. Having his name in the mix makes more big fights possible and he comes to fight....simple as that.

If only your buddies thought like you, this site would be a much more pleasant site to talk boxing.

Margarito is DONE. Finito. ****ing uncle bob is gonna find a horsey doc to get approval for the fight. Is it worth it to destroy one of your eye for say $3-5 mil? Karma is bi*tch. Hmmm...was Margarito loaded against Cotto?

I could see Margarito rocking the eyepatch.

$5 mil sets him up for life.
