And that right there is why he was such a horrible commentator for HBO back in the day. Any fight, no matter the significance ; he always favored the "puncher". Even if it was two skilled boxers going at it, whoever hit harder ; George was supporting him.

It was laughable.

It was funny because all the guys had things they obviously wanted to see on HBO, Foreman wanted to see punching power and knock out, Merchant wanted to see action and blood while Lederman liked the guy throwing more punches with Lampley mediating and favoring the company man.

The difference with the latter three was they at least sometimes deviated especially when it was obvious, not Big George though he was always waiting for that knock out even if the guy was completely out classed.

Nice to see George still thinks everything revolves around knockouts. I think a UD will quite clearly make Hopkins the oldest man to ever hold a title.

Even as a huge Bernard Hopkins fan, I'm disgusted that Hopkins might accomplish this feature beating Pascal, where as George did it against Michael Moorer. Pascal ain't all that, he sucks in my opinion. I'm still mad Dawson lost to that
