Manny's time could be a lot closer than we think.

Indeed, but Floyd like B-Hop can afford to lose some stuff. Pacquiao on the other hand, he loses a few of his attributes, a little speed, and what your losing is a great fighter. It's that dramatic man, I'm serious.Comment

Just hear me out. Since the Margarito fight I've seen the decline. I went from actually being 50-50 in a possible Mayweather-Pacquiao fight, to slightly leaning towards Floyd to win, to now comfortably picking Floyd to win. The wear and tear, wars he's been in, the constant training camps he has to go through, the fact that he fights consistently, it's all gonna catch up to him...probably sooner than we think. So when it happens don't be shocked.
He's wasting his time against now mediocre opponents, so he'll have himself to blame when it happens. It doesn't have to be Floyd to do it, it can very well be Ortiz or Timothy Bradley. Manny's the kind of fighter that can't afford to lose speed, or any sort of athletic ability. When he's unable to get into those weird angles, what then? Leg cramp or not, Mosley shouldn't have been able to make him miss that many times, Pacquiao should have gotten him out of there.Comment

You favor Floyd who's been very inactive the past few years, is older, and showed he can be hit with bombs his last time out?
All Pac has to do is focus on his foot problem, maybe hire a great masseuse to work on it before and after every training session and get an ice whirlpool. It wasn't the first time the problem cropped up, but it was the first time it hampered his performance in the ring.
Clottey camp It cropped up
Also in the Margarito camp:
On Friday, WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao was taken to a local hospital after complaining of foot pain while working out at the Florde Gym, according to news from Abs-cbn news. Pacquiao had an MRI done along with blood tests to try and figure out what the problem is. The results were inconclusive. The doctor couldn’t find anything wrong with Pacquiao other than some swelling.
If he gets that worked out, he'll be fine. Everyone was raving that he looked better than ever in his latest camp.Comment

I think people sometimes forget that you can't beat father time. As good as Floyd is defensively, a lot of that is attributed to his physical abilities. But at some point, those things are going to decline, and like you said, Floyd NEVER got hit like that or much less even been as hurt as he was against Mosley.
As great as Whittaker was defensively, there came a point where he wasn't as sharp or quick to defend as he was in his prime. He didn't necessarily get his ass whipped, but he simply couldn't perform like he used to as he got older. Floyd can inevitably be in the same predicament, especially him being as inactive as he currently is.Last edited by RL_GMA; 05-11-2011, 01:48 PM.Comment

I'm dead serious in saying this, Pacquiao does NOT beat Floyd, I say that with great confidence too. Before someone responds saying "Why doesn't Floyd fight him?". Just know that I don't care who it is, I'm gonna respect any men's decision to demand drug testing, especially in this sport. So lets get that out of the way.Comment

so now you're leaning towards a guy that you have no idea will look next time out? after sitting on the sideline for more than a year?
Floyd's 35? that dude could be a shell of himself if/when he gets back in there...whether its against PAC or anyoneComment
