Martinez is bigger then Margarito though.

And also, it's a combination of weight and skills of course. Pac could beat proffessional HWs, but not all MWs.

P4P Manny is better then Martinez, question is if he could overcome the size difference. We'll never find out though.

RJJ could easily beat a world champ in Ruiz, but he would've got knocked out against a prime Tyson even though he was smaller.

marg came into the ring at 164.5 against pac and it was one of pacs easiest most one sided fights ever and martinez was 168 on fight night in his last fight so i dont see the big size difference

      but whatever

I think it's going to get to the point where that will be the only fight that makes any sense.

I mean Manny is going to destory Marquez, and if he fights Bradley, I fully expect a blowout win as well. What's going to happen is these fights will be so easy for Manny that taking on Martinez would be the only logical choice if team Pacquiao wants a challenge.

If Manny stops or batters Floyd, do you honestly think people will want to see Pacquiao vs Ortiz or Pacquiao vs Berto?? I don't and I truly believe that Manny is running out of legit threats, to the point he may have to go up in search of a fight that will bring about a challenge.

FWIW the Martinez bout is the one I want to see the most (besides Floyd). I say this because I know what this will do for his legacy and if he beat both Sergio and Floyd, he is easily a top 5 fighter of all-time IMO.

Hell I'd be willing to throw him into top 5 if he did that! It would be phenomenal for boxing! If Pacquiao is this "great ambassador for the sport" he should be making the epic fights.

I don't get why some pacfans are so avidly against Pacquiao facing Martinez...even if he loses a close bout it would be great for his resume.

Pac eats like a ****ing pig and still can't even make 147. How in the world can he make 154 then?

If Martinez wants Pac than come to 147. Otherwise he can keep dodging his mandatories at Mw.

physically martinez is way bigger than pac...even a blind can tell you that if you let him feel their bodies. don't know why some poster are playing ignorant about the size disparity. now if they decide to fight each other well and good. if not, then there should be no bitching from the fans.
