Comments Thread For: Diaz Vows To Derail Marquez's Plan To Face Pacquiao

Former WBC lightweight champion David Diaz (36-3-1, 17 KOs) has promised to make things very hard for Juan Manuel Marquez (52-5-1, 38 KOs) . The Mexican champion is interested in facing Diaz on July 2 in either Las Vegas or Mexico City. He wants to use Diaz to shake off any rust for a November 12 trilogy showdown with Manny Pacquiao. Diaz has not signed to fight Marquez, but hopes their clash will be made. He considers a fight with Marquez a "great opportunity."

If he beats DD worse than Pacquiao will he get credit?

since everyone compares who beat Hatton,ODLH, Mosley worse between pacquiao and Mayweather?

Diaz is a decent southpaw tuneup for JMM.

      Judah would be better.

      Robert Guerrero would be perfect.

Victor Ortiz would be a risky one.

Judah, Guerrero and Ortiz are not tune ups. Those are all dangerous match ups to different extents. David Diaz is a very good tune up fight.

its apparent Marquez did not wanna fight Judah to risky, would lose and keep him from facing Pac, wait what am I saying, that wouldn't stop a Pac showdown. Marquez should easily beat DD, but it really won't have any effect on his Pac fight if he loses

Marquez fighting a tune-up fights never end....He fought an overhype, c-class, no skill, smaller or his same size fighter in Juan Diaz and a loser Katsidis(battered by Guerrero)...Now, he will fight David Diaz who was KOd by Pacman and defeated by Soto....
Why not clean the best Lightweight out there like Guerrero, Soto and Rios?????coz Marquez is afraid in facing them.....or why not go up at 140 and fight Zab Judah who also have speed and power like Pacman...and the best tune-up to prepare himself for Pacman fight......coz he's afraid in facing them....He fought Floyd and will be fighting Pacman only for his last and big retirement payday.....
