  • 1.2 reasons why arum and team pac are good business men. anyone who are questioning why they picked shane is an idiot. obviously at this stage of manny's career, where he calls all the shots and no longer needs to beg for fights, arum and team pac will choose an opponent that will make the most money and will be a fighter manny can beat.

its still a business guys, unfortunately manny has nothing to prove anymore, and he's not gonna risk getting KO'ed to prove hes a badass. its just ******.

    • Great numbers for the sport. Damnit we need some new stars before Manny and Floyd retire.

So yes Pac and Bob are to blame as we allllllllllllll said he was shot well back when Floyd technically destroyed him. End thread as Pac selected a 39 year old Mosley who hasn't won a fight since January 2009.
Not necessarily true. Even though Shane was a major underdog. Experts did give Shane a shot on the early rounds. And yes, even the pro-Shane fans & Anti-pac fans believed that Shane had style to give probs for Pac, but what's most important is that everyone did expect Shane to come and fight. Not to collect paycheck.

So that's boxing now days? As long as fighter B can last a few rounds?

Like everyone said after Floyd technically destroyed Sweet-n-low Shane, he was done. Mora validated this. Out of the blue, Pac says yes to a 39 year old losing former champ. EVERYONE said he was done. Yes the few people that tried to lie to themselves and say it would be dangerous said it would be dangerous early on as Mosley has power. "he almost KO'ed Floyd" BS (using Mayweather as a measuring stick)...

Team Pac are FULLY responsible for the selection of a 39 year old losing Mosley who we ALL knew was collecting a pay check. Hell some said that for the Mayweather fight (after the fact). Nothing changed player. Nothing at all. Other than Pac's decision on fighting Mosley.

Pac picked Mosley. Mosley who was 39 and losing said yes I'll take one last pay check even though I was schooled by Floyd and almost beaten by a reality tv star boxer. He wanted to get paid, Pac wanted to fight an old man who he thought would stand there so Pac could get a KO and "out do" Mayweather. lol (using Mayweather as a measuring stick?)

The irony of it all is that Bob said after the Floyd/Shane fight that Mosley was done. Like I said Bob can make or break a fight no matter what everyone thinks. Remember Bob wouldn't allow Cotto to fight Mayweather back when both where under Top Rank....

Bob has an agenda and certain fighters are not on it. At least until the times right.... for example - Mosley.

As for boxing nowadays? Definitely not. But I don't see why Pac can't get a tune-up fight. He's earned his stars & stripes just look at his early fights. And for the young guys to get a crack at Pac with a mediocre resume? Please! From what I know growing up. You got to earn your title shot. Look at all these young guy's resume from Bradley, Khan all the way to Martinez. It's downright pathetic. Marquez' resume is the only one deserving enough to get the next shot. That's boxing. If guyss want Pac, they got to step it up a notch. Why does Pac need to prove more? What does he have left to prove? That he can kill off the young guys too?

You wanna know what's the problem with boxing though? It is a guy name Floyd who thinks boxing is just a game. he has no respect for the business & life in general. And his actions speaks all that about him. Who is he to demand anything? Who is he to come back whenever he wants and retire? I used to be a fan of his, but he ****in' pisses me off. At first, ok he's bad, he talks the talk. But ****! too much talkin* and not much walkin' and it embarassed me.

                **** FLOYD!

A tune up? He's fought 3 guys in a row that haven't won a fight in well over 2 years. He's fought three guys who weren't the best in there respected division. He's fought 3 guys that the media, fans and haters didn't agree with.

You speak of "earn" a shot? What did Clottey do to deserve a shot? lol Be a Top Rank fighter thats about it. Dude hasnt won a fight since 2008.... 2008? WTF, yeah he deserved a shot. What did Margarito do? Cheat..... Mosley? Lose to Floyd? Get out of here with that. Bob's already told everyone its about "entertainment" and that he selects fighters that HE thinks will "entertain". Has nothing to do with making the best vs the best which is whats killing boxing. Bobs trying to make the sport into pure entertainment and avoiding real fights/styles until the time and advantages suits HIM when it comes to his current cash cow.

Your talking about Floyd, but Floyd isn't here. How is he hurting boxing any worse than Pac? He isn't even boxing? Pac is. Pac with "selections" like Clottey, Margarito and Mosley is hurting boxing. Picking on a LW at WW is hurting boxing. We know this as Floyd did it. Now Pac's going to do it. Pac wouldn't even fight Cotto without a CW now he's asking for a LW to do what he WOULDN'T DO? That's a true bytch who wants an advantage. Then again, you know Pac wants all the advantages. Why wouldn't he. The problem is, what Floyd has done Pac is doing exactly but gets a pass. Pac goes as far to even say he's trying to "out do" what Mayweather has done.

Like everyone else who hates Floyd, they just want to see him lose. Doesn't matter what he does or say they just want something boxing related to hold against him. In the meantime they look at everything else. Its cool, I don't really care as I understand the position Mayweather is in as he's the acting "bad guy" that everyone loves to hate like Ali or Tyson in there days. It is what it is. Just don't be so biased that you cant see what you hate so much about Mayweather, Pac is doing too.

Remember, Bob Arum has an agenda and certain fighters are not on it.... yet. Bob can make or break a fight when he wants to.

                  • Most of these people are Pinoy. Pinoys are making the sport bigger by buying all his PPV's and supporting their man, African Americans take notes. well that isnt entirely fair as black athletes are good at every big sport in America, and Pinoy's only got Pac to look up to.

Fighting Bradley, Khan, BErto, Ortiz, etc... They're all f*kin' tune-ups if you ask me. As for the media & fans? Lol. All I have to say to that is, "1 POINT PLUS MILLION DOLLAR PPV BUYS.":*******:

                      Truth hurts doesn't it.
