How much more will Pac weigh at a 135 limit than at a 147 limit?

When Pac fought JMM at 130 he weighed 145 on fight night.

When Pac fought Diaz at 135 he weighed 147 on fight night.

When he fought Hatton at 140 he weighed 148 on fight night.

When he fought DLH at 147 he weighed 148 on fight night.

When he fought Margo at 150 he weighed 148 on fight night.

Isn't the answer obvious? Or am I missing something? So the one pound difference is critical to JMM's success? Or is it that having Pac dehydrate for the weigh-in is critical to JMM's success?

If the weight limit is 135, or 175, Pac will weigh at most 4 pounds more than Marquez, which is the same as the last time they fought, (145-141).

pac having to weight drain himself will be a major advantage for jmm.

but the point is moot since jmm wants to fight pac at WW

        Don't waste your time.

I mean it's not like Duran didn't go up in weight to face Leonard. Hearns and Duran going up in weight to face haglar. Hell let's bring it to modern times and use Hopkins hoping over two classes and taking out Tarver, and Manny and Floyd doing similar things as well.

Marquez is a HOF/ATG.....and almost every great fighter has done this, yet Marquez can't go up in weight. Sad thing is he isn't b1tching and moaning, yet a bunch of to so call boxing fans are.

truth...whether at 135, 140 or 147, pac and jmm will be similar in size fight night, the weight is not an issue this time unlike with floyd who was clearly way bigger than jmm......dont know whats so hard to understand about it....

I don't understand why people say the fight night weight doesn't mean anything. I've heard people say that's because it's water weight. Is that really the argument?

So when Pac was fighting at 130 he wanted to carry more than 10% of his body weight in water on fight night, but when he fought at 150 he only wanted to carry 2% of his body weight in water on fight night. Is that really what people are trying to argue?

Umm, doesn't it make way more sense that he had to dehydrate much more of his body weight to make the 130 limit and now he doesn't dehydrate to make weight at all? That his body was the same % of water on fight night when he was fighting at 130 as when he was at 150, but that he was at a much lower hydration on the day of the weigh-in?

Similar to Floyd, Pacquiao is fighting at his natural weight now. He doesn't go up or down much at all. If he were to drop to 135 now, he'd be drained as where Marquez still makes that weight comfortably as he's been fighting at that division for a few years now.

Come on guys, time to grow out of that water weight mentality.

Water weight on fight night is not the same as pure muscle weight with just a little bit of fat on the scales.

135+12lbs of water added is not the same as weighing 145 on the scales. If that's the case then let's make the Welterweight division from 135-147, since 135 fighters mostly weigh over 140 on fight night.
