Attorney Mike Miller, tells me that James Kirkland is now back in Austin, TX and training once again with Ann Wolf and that a fight with Ricardo Mayorga in the summer is now being discussed for Kirkland on Showtime

Miller says Kirkland-Mayorga would be underneath the Mares-Agbeko fight, since GBP and King are co-promoting that fight

Miller mentioned that they would like a fight before facing Mayorga.

fight will never happen cause kirkland will shank mayorga during the press conference when he is doing his clown trash talk routine...haha, but if this happens, it'll be interesting to see. with wolfe back, i know kirkland will look better...but it isn't going to fix his chin. didn't think mayorga would be useful anymore, this one seems like he could be...

I think rematching Ishida would probably be less risky than Mayorga. Maybe not. I could see Mayorga winning if Kirkland's chin fails him again.
