there must be something going on about this. too much rumors to completely rule it out. i don't really expect those managers to say anything until the deal has been finalized. ortiz vs. fmj would be a decent fight to see.

if the same ortiz that fought berto shows up, he could beat FMJ. Berto hits a lot harder than mayweather, so i'm sure ortiz could walk through his shots.

How could boxrec mix that up? I doubt their source is a promoter or advisor or anything because they have way too many fighters they have to keep track of... I'm pretty sure they get their information from commissions. Mayweather/Ortiz is going to happen. It somewhat makes sense altho i never though Floyd would fight a southpaw bigger than him and i never thought he would fight in TX because Xylocaine is considered a PED there.

Listen to Shanes comments: The punches were very different I`ve never felt anything like it. Listen to De la hoya: Those punches felt alot like the Vargas punches. Plus he doesn`t want to take the test. First Pacquiao said he was afraid of needles. Then when he was confronted with the tatoos he said he gets dizzy and can`t train for 3 days after a blood test. But he had a blood test in the first Morales fight when Morales won and he went straight to training the day after the test was conducted. Wake up People!
Pacquiao never said he was afraid of needles. Pacquiao was tested two days before the fight (this test was forced on him at the last minute saying the blood test he took a month before was lost) against Morales, he did not train after that, he layed around feeling weak, getting massages, and then entered the ring and felt like his punches had no pop. Get your facts straight. He is the interview where he explains it to PI media after that fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_97MccjZwV4

Here is Pacquiao agreeing to OST with zero cutoff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku4jfLKD0Mg

I dont know how much more clear this needs to be. The dude is a brutal combination of speed and power. So is Gamboa. So was Tyson. Accept greatness and watch it unfold before your eyes. You can try to explain to your grandkids that Pac was all hype while all they hear from history is that he was one of the most amazing champions boxing ever saw in and out of the ring. Have at it, but its your loss.

It's actually pretty ironic that of all people Pac would get accused of PED use, cuz I clearly remember many years ago Pac wouldn't even take Ibuprofen for pain and it took Ariza a long time to get Manny to take protein supplements and multi vitamins and such. A lot of this is because Pacquiao was never immunized as a kid and he attributes a lot of his physical strength to that fact (look it up, even in America there is anti-immunization movement)... Ppl point to Pac's rise in weight... His weight gain throughout the years is natural considered he was a little malnutritioned jungle boy from a town with no plumbing/running water when he started boxing LOL: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_32Zmq1eiJe...-pictures1.jpg

Ortiz is currently in his home state of Kansas where tomorrow will be honored by the Governor. Arrellano told BoxingScene, "Victor is in Kansas and is going to get a proclamation from the Governor tomorrow and tomorrow is officially Victor Ortiz Day throughout the state."
Win a title, get a day... That's a good deal. Any suggestions for rituals and stories for the day?

Congratulations to Victor Ortiz for getting his own day...

Nobody will walk through Mayweather's punches.

Ortiz would need to use intelligent pressure.

An Ortiz / Pac fight would be better.

                      Ortiz would give Pac fit's.
