why manny pacquiao is a counter-punchers worst nightmare

everyone seems to be missing the pointhe has trouble with counter punchers, plain and simple, Floyd is the best counter puncher and the worse part about it is, he's got a better jab, and he leads with rights and left hooks. Floyd is a very bad style match up for Pac, and considering pacs leg problem against fighters with movement it makes it even worse.
"Pacquiao is a counter-punchers worst nightmare"
never said it could'nt be vice versa, but people that think floyd is gonna have an easy fight are probabley not the sharpest when it comes to analyzing fightersComment

everybody counters an opponent's offense in a championship prizefight
if you're talking about the "counterpunchers" that manny has faced, you're probably talking about the guys against whom he had the worst showing
morales, marquez, even cotto to a certain degree, were able to get in good work when they presented pacquiao with opportunities and took advantage of him being reckless
you can call that counterpunching
those men range from very sound counterpunchers to legitimate greats in that regard (cotto on the low end, marquez on the high end, and morales somewhere in the middle closer to marquez than cot)
manny's physical gifts obviously make him the wrong man to exchange punches with if you aren't a much bigger man
he's a vicious puncher, can beat a man to the punch with his handspeed, and has a great chin
but counterpunching has been the best means of scoring on pacquiao (and taking advantages of the breaks he wants to take, like morales and marquez were able to do)Comment

right, but counter-punchers are also shown to be the most dominant in the sporteverybody counters an opponent's offense in a championship prizefight

so it's only natural he has to fight harder against counter-puncher than he does against face first brawler like margarito, right?
even a monster like roy jones had his toughest times vs counter-punchers
counter-punchers aren't so much manny pacquiao's worst nightmare as they are to everyone, even to themselvesComment

I guess a sweet dream can be a nightmare for some, but for what I have seen, Manny hasn't fought many counter punchers and have looked pretty bad with the ones He fought. But again, that was before He became a superheroe.
I also think He has looked great against guys that have ****** on their last fights. Arum has timed all this challenges, including his fight vs Cotto, a fight they pushed to have very close after his ring assault and a very hard fight Arum also put together.
But really, Margarito looked horrible on his fight in Mexico before fighting Manny and Mosley looked even worse on his last fight.
Bottom line is that we really don't know how good ultraman is until Arum starts negotiating real challenges for him. Now they want Marquez, only because He has lost some steam on his last fights.
Even National media have been talking about the wasted time and its becoming very obvious that Arum is making sure his superheroe continues to fight over match contenders.
Pacquiao needs Mayweather or Martinez more than Arum thinks or is willing to risk.Comment
