Shane went into fight... To simply last longer than Oscar.

Clearly he was trying to live past the 9th round so as to make the statement that he did better than his rival Oscar. That is why he did not take ANY chances. He figured "He won't knock me out like he did Oscar..."

His girl being there to watch did not help. He was no doubt thinking all the shyt he spoke the night before about how "he will NOT knock me out..." and knew it would look terrible if he did. I think in Shane's mind, he will be remembered as going a WHOLE 12 rounds with Pac.

I'm very disappointed in Mosley. I thought he would trade with Pacquiao for at least a few round but he never did.

Once you get popped by the hardest punching welter you'll run as well. Straight from Mosley's mouth, Pac punches harder than even Margarito.

            Huh?

Than even Margarito? You make it sound as if that's a huge feat, but Margarito's never been noted as a big puncher generally, more as a wear-you-down kind of guy.

If Shane actually mentioned Margarito by name, he should've cited one of the harder punchers he's fought as a measuring-stick instead, such as Cotto, De La Hoya, Vargas.

Shane was so passive in that fight it was ridiculous

I mean I can see his logic it was a fight he was never going to win so why take punishment but then Shane has always prided himself on fighting the best and giving it his best shot

it wasn't that long ago he fought a tough determined bout against Miguel Cotto when Cotto was an undefeated young lion walking through everyone put in front of him

Pacquiao's speed had him extra cautious I get that the knockdown didn't help matters either but seriously where was the pride that he showed in the Mora bout when he was determined to make Mora fight

and even in his loss against Mayweather he had moments where he tried to win

it was like out of the gate he decided he wanted none of Pacquiao and never once tried to chance the way the fight was going

it was truly a sad night for boxing I feel slightly sorry for Pac because he is willing to go to war everytime

blame it on Bob Arum this fight was joke from the very beginning

No doutb his beef with Golden Bytch Productions had a lot to do with his survival plan... He knew they would be celebrating a vicious KO from Pacquaio so he made sure not to give them what he felt they wanted to see.

Exactly, not once did he even try to make it a fight or let Pac taste his power. He didn't even try to box really, he jabbed a bit but it was more to interupt Pacquiaos rythm than anything else. I have more respect for Hatton's performance. Shane looked as bad a Clottey against Pac but even more scared.
