If it happens in the next fight, possibly a third then I’ll lean towards agreement, but for now i simply say it was a badly matched fight.

i'm not saying that, if you read the post.

i'm saying that fighting no hopers is ruining his career and his standing and he's showing signs of it catching up with him as a fighter

additionally, the hard career he's had and his age as a smaller man are beginning to show

in the post i've explained that it could be from his preparation, choice of opponents, lack of focus due to his myriad responsibilities
also his opponent, who was largely negative (as was clottey, cotto, oscar)
but is likely from a combination of all the factors in conjunction with his advancing age as an aggressive and smaller fighter moving up in weight

and i also explained that i'm basing my opinion on his body of work over the course of his fights since his best performance as a larger man, ricky hatton

I'm one of the biggest Manny fans around but truth is truth and what you're saying is similar to some of the things I was saying when the Legend, a one Mr. Roy Jones Jr., was coming down in weight to fight Tarver. You could see that his gifts were waning and while I won't go so far as to say Manny's immense gifts are waning, I will say that if you knew what to look for there were signs to be looking out for in his next fight.

I can agree that Manny did not look great in this fight, but I have no reason not to believe he started having leg issues DURING the fight. I was surprised however that in the beginning of the fight it seemed that their game plan WAS to stand toe-to-toe with Shane and exchange. But with hardly any movement from Manny (unlike his last few fights) it seemed like a horrible idea, especially against a heavy puncher and it made Pac look lackluster.

If they work on the leg problems and really sort that out and isn't a sign of worse things to come - I pity the next guy Pac fights. He will definately be out to prove something and did not like boos in his fight. If the problems aren't fixed then Manny will go back to being in hard fought wars where the outcome of the fight is uncertain. He needs that movement to dominate his opponents. Well, and he needs better opponents of course, ones that bring out the fire in him to fight and win. It was there last night, but only AFTER the bad knock down call. Too bad Pac didn't fight like that from round 1 on. And taping gloves with Mosely after he knocked Shane down and had him hurt - was a BIG problem too. Enough of the nice guy ****.

Side note: And no one should really be surprised by the performance Mosely put on last night. Go back and remember what Shane looked like right after he fought FMJ and Mora. That's the same Mosely that showed up last night. The thing is, Shane talks a good talk (and you really want to believe he still has it) and most importantly - Bob Arum still only proved that he can sell **** and call it perfume and people will buy it. Hopefully Pac will stand up to Bob after this and take control of his career for the sake of whats left of it. Pacquiao doesn't like not pleasing his fans, so I believe his next performance (givin the leg issues are cleared up) will be amazing and hopefully he chooses an opponent who he KNOWS will fight toe-to-toe (and not just hope they will).
