I really don't think the weight matters as both will show up close to the same size on fight night anyways.

I guess the catchweight is there to shut a few people up who were crying that Marquez has to go up to 147.

With that said, Marquez is one of the few people I have confidence in as far as having the willingness to fight Manny, instead of giving up and trying to survive.

Guys like Ortiz, Alexander, Berto, Judah, and others are mental midgets, and outside of Marquez, only Tim Bradley stands out as a guy willing to try and fight all 12rounds against Manny. Also Paul Williams, but Manny wouldn't get credit for thst win at this point.

not really,Pacquiao still holds the ring title at 140 i believe.that should count as a title in a different weight class,it did for Pacquiao.

This is perfect for Pacquiao. Marquez still possesses his ring intelligence and offensive firepower but the years, and weight, have made him a stand-in-front-of-you, heavy legs type-fighter. Manny will tee off and his minions will rejoice. How long will the media let this **** show go on?

I have been against the Marquez bout for the longest (Reasons you mentioned above).

The problem, however, is that people just wont shut up about Marquez beating Manny. There is a large group of individuals who claim Manny hasn't improved, has fought tailor made opponents, and avoids fighters like him.

Manny is in a lose-lose situation because if he turns the fight down then he is ducking Marquez and feeding into the b.s., but if he takes the fight then he is cherry picking an old LW.

My current choice is Bradley, but if Manny takes that, we will never hear the end of the Manny ducked Marquez talk.

Manny takes the fight, and it's a million and one excuse as to why Marquez is at a disadvantage. If it's not the weight, then you guys would use his age..

My question to you is this; If Marquez has no issues with the weight, and neither does Beristain, why are you crying and making excuses?
