  • "If Manny couldn't chase a hurting Mosley how can he expect to win against Floyd?" Why do people keep saying that? There is a world of difference between being tactical and holding on to dear life. Manny did caught him and everytime he got close Mosley grab like hell. The rest of the fight Mosley's gloves was on his face while striding on his tricy saying "look ma' no hands". If Manny wasn't as powerful as he was against Mosley that night it would've been a different story. Mosley would still be willing to fight cautious but ready to unleash his overhead right. That "Manny left" was the peroneal nail to the coffin. After that Mosley was never the same again.

No one expect Mosley to act the way he did i think even Mosley didn't expect himself to act the way he did. The guy didn't want to lose face thats all.

    • Anyone who is uneasy about who Pac fights....it is very simple....DONT WATCH! Next time I am going to start charging you guys for this simple advice. Forget about Pac instead of crying a river about him. You are not being forced by law to watch him, duh.

        Oxymoron at its finest.
I said alot of things.... and I am also probably the only one who was looking and thinking his fights would be competitive. While being told it would be. Guess I was a sucker for the hype. You Pac fans stay questioning my boxing knowledge but I pick right too. AND for the record, I said Cotto was too strong for Pac at 147. That was my predicition since you want to get specific. His fight with Cotto was at 145. And if you weren't such a groupie you would know that Arum said it himself. Get your own brain and common sense instead of following a lie and telling someone that sees the truth that he is hating.

If you are going to pull up my old predictions then pull them all up.

Plus, Shane doesn't have a good record at beating guys who work the ring
        and box.

Pac fans. Please stop sweating me like I don't know my boxing because his fights are so predictable and easy to pick him as the winner. First I'm a hater for picking against him, then I'm a hater for saying his fights are not competitive. Which one is it? I bet if Pac went against a fighter that was competitive he would not be so dominate. I picked against him because honestly, the way he gets hit, I thought that the size of his past opponents would be too much for him but apparently I left his speed out of the equation and how mismatch his opponents have been. Whether it has been due to catchweights or fighters not at their best coming off loses. Trying to discredit my boxing knowledge because I picked against Pac? You guys should be happy that I even thought the other guy had a chance because obviously no one else did, not even his own fans. Should tell you guys something about who Pac is fighting.

        • Manny is right

Floyd is not a slave and has free will. America is a free country.

Live and let live, if Floyd don't want the fight, let him live with the humiliation that he ducked the greatest fighter of his era.

            • All the hype behind that fight and it ******. Mosley needs to get outta here with that performance....

              • people saying mosley is old and couldnt pull the trigger but mosley said so himself at the post fight interview that age is not an excuse, he couldnt let off because at times he feel like it was a set up trap from pacman to lure mosley in because of pacman's weird punching angles. if pacman wasnt as powerful and mosley decides to open up then he would of got tag even more.

the people saying pacman's performance was sad, how? i thought this was one of the fight he got hit the least? yes his punching stats were low because shane was back paddling most of the time.. i thought manny showed he had patient and the times he would lunge in was when the crowd starts booing.. the guy had to do something to get something going, u cant keep chasing a opponent..

So either Mosley threw the fight or he was shot. Don't take my word for it but rather ask Team Pac about it.

In a strange turn of events, famed Manny Pacquiao strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza says he would like to see Pacquiao fight Juan Manuel Marquez and not Shane Mosley.

He said Mosley is a quitter when he was talking with the Philippine Star (link is from BoxingScene.com):

"Mosley? He’ll be tired after 15 minutes, so what’s the point of that fight? Manny knocks him out and probably, Manny won’t even train for that fight. That guy is a quitter. He quit against Mayweather in three rounds...[I like Marquez] because he’s got balls. He’s got heart. And he’s ****** enough to think he can beat Manny. So that’s a great fight."
"I did and I read them saying Mosley was huffing and puffing for air in the fourth or fifth round," Arum said. "To me, that is the real tipoff for an aging fighter. Even Big George Foreman did that in his 40s but he always had that big, big punch like in the (Michael) Moorer fight.

"What I've read is not very supportive to make any Mosley-Pacquiao bout. Look, he's going to be 40 and he's in the lighter weights where speed is so important. He's on a show with guys (example, 20 year old Saul Canelo Alvarez) old enough to be his son.

                    http://www.examiner.com/boxing-in-na...uiao-arum-says
"No, my first option was Márquez. I think he deserved a third fight, but now everything is left up to negotiations. Promoter] Bob Arum made a better deal with Mosley, and they said Márquez had asked for too much money." Freddie Roach

According to Roach, the Mosley fight was more of a financial decision than anything. We already knew that as well, especially when Arum mentioned he gets to promote Mosley's next fight if Shane wins. I'm a bit stunned at the fact that Arum didn't listen to Roach or the millions of fans that wanted to see the fight against JMM. I've never seen Manny Pacquiao openly campaigning for a fight against Mosley. I've seen him comment more on Marquez than Mosley and Andre Berto combined.
