ALL of that is on pacman not shane, shane is 40 washed -up for years now what does this idiot expect?? for a 40 yr old to play to his strengths?? im glad the fight was a bomb it goes to show even further that pac only wants easy fights, if he wants to entertain and make the fans happy FIGHT SOMEONE AT THE TOP OF THEIR GAME IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!LAS VEGAS -- During the press conference following eight-division titlist, Manny Pacquiao's, unanimous decision over Shane Mosley on Saturday night in defense of his WBO welterweight belt at the MGM Grand, Top Rank Promotions CEO, Bob Arum, tried to put a positive spin on what was a fight largely of excitement.

Only a flunky would say something like this.Fighting Mosley was the promoter's decision, just like what Manny kept on telling the people...the fighter is just out there to do his job. It is a big risk to take to promise a fighter 20 million dollars if the promoter is not sure about the volume of tickets that the buying public would be willing to spend on. In Mosley, Arum saw a good number of followers and a huge number from Manny Pacquiao's group. That is the main reason how the match-up happened. Supply and demand...these are two main factors to consider in business.
Manny has a say in his career..if he doesn't then he''s bigger SUCKER than even I thought.
Manny is the biggest name in boxing..he doesn't even NEED a promoter...much less Bob Arum.Comment

How can Pac fans STILL cosign Manny fights as being competitive when Bob Arum himself has said that "Nobody thought Mosley or Margarito had a chance"? It was all for entertainment purposes. Pac legacy is being padded with easy wins. that's not me being a hater because Arum said it himself....
Pac fans are idiots. Don't mean to sound so harsh but seriously. Arum is telling you for himself that ain't noting competitive about Manny Pacquiao fights and Pac fans are still talking $H!t like Manny is beating top guys. "Manny is not dull. He is the aggressor. He is an entertaining fighter and I believe that most people that bought the fight tonight bought it not with the expectation that Shane Mosley was going to win," said Arum of Pacquiao, who was coming off of November's unanimous decision over Antonio Margarito.
"They bought the Antonio Margarito fight not because they thought that he was going to win, but because they wanted to be entertained by Manny Pacquiao," said Arum. "Manny is a great fighter. That's why people are buying his fights now. He has achieved greatness."Comment

Mayweather is concerned about making money. He's made it. He likes having a 0. He won't risk it without getting a lot of money. I don't think he cares about his legacy -at least not today. Thirty years from now he might have a few regrets, but not now. He's had 4 fights in the last 5 years. Those were his BEST years and he didn't fight.
As good as he is - and he's great - his lack of activity hurts his legacy.
Pac is fighting more. He's fought over 10 fights (not that much but at least something). There's no reason for Paquiao to be scared. Scared of what? He's lost before and he's still a huge success. Ali lost. SRL lost. SRR lost. Willie Pep lost. Joe Louis lost. Jack Dempsey lost. And they're all great.Comment

Ortiz was seen as green and lacking heart until the Berto fight who was considered a paper champion waiting to be dropped. Now after a win against a widely recognised paper champ, Ortiz is prime, come on dude?!?Manny will never fight Ortiz.
If he even took that fight, regardless as to the result, I would shut my mouth.
Ortiz' current position, - young, hungry, skilled, prime, and right on top of his game - does not fit the template of Manny's last 8 opponents.
Ortiz is not in the plan.
I'm sure all boxers wish they could drop a paper champ and then get a shot at the P4P number 1!Comment
