That's true - but they were the best options out there (except for Floyd of course). Bradley and Ortiz were way too inexperienced. Ortiz still is.

I would love to see Pac fight Bradley now. Berto, Judah, and Devon Alexander were not top quality options last year - and they still aren't.

Manny just wanted another exhibition match, like the Clottey sparring session, so that he could look good..... but Mosley learnt from Mora and stank out the beatdown
I really don't think Pac cares who they put in front of him. Arum looks for the names for the biggest return $$$ wise. Manny would go through your so called young lions like crap through a goose. Do you really think Bradley, Alexander, Ortiz, Berto, or any other that you can think of will stand a chance with Pacquiao? If you truly are a student of boxing, then you know the answer, its not no, BUT HELL NO! (Pac would destroy all of them easily) I have watched boxing since the mid 60's and the only fighters that would have had a chance with this version of Pacquiao(Fighting with both hands not the left handed version back several years ago) is Sugar Ray Leonard, maybe Duran because of sheer will, and Julio Cesar Chavez.(Good chance that Pac would beat them all) Just my opinion.

Anyways, Arum said yesterday that testing wasn't a problem.

Although, Arum is well-aware that Mayweather is not fighting until next year.

Hmmm..... maybe Mayweather should call Arum's bluff ?

whos everyone else?? u mean shane? LOL... and yes floyd should call manny's bluff.. we all know floyd likes to talk so this shouldnt be a problem for floyd to talk...

Exactly. The only fighter on that list that would be a worthwhile matchup would be Bradley -- and I would still favor Pac.

I was surprised SSM fought to survive rather than win and risk " going out on his shield ".
He really did the paying fans a great injustice . Pac sure wasn't at his best diving in the way he did . I liked what Pac said when they asked him about fearweather "I want to fight people that WANT to fight me " Really there is no equal except ,maybe PBF but he is so scared of losing his "0" , he won't fight him unless he gets some clear advantage .

I'm not buying that Mosley was the best offer because everyone in Pac's camp knew that Shane was lunch meat after his last two fights prior to signing the contract.

In a strange turn of events, famed Manny Pacquiao strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza says he would like to see Pacquiao fight Juan Manuel Marquez and not Shane Mosley.

He said Mosley is a quitter when he was talking with the Philippine Star (link is from BoxingScene.com):

"Mosley? He’ll be tired after 15 minutes, so what’s the point of that fight? Manny knocks him out and probably, Manny won’t even train for that fight. That guy is a quitter. He quit against Mayweather in three rounds...[I like Marquez] because he’s got balls. He’s got heart. And he’s ****** enough to think he can beat Manny. So that’s a great fight."
"I did and I read them saying Mosley was huffing and puffing for air in the fourth or fifth round," Arum said. "To me, that is the real tipoff for an aging fighter. Even Big George Foreman did that in his 40s but he always had that big, big punch like in the (Michael) Moorer fight.

"What I've read is not very supportive to make any Mosley-Pacquiao bout. Look, he's going to be 40 and he's in the lighter weights where speed is so important. He's on a show with guys (example, 20 year old Saul Canelo Alvarez) old enough to be his son.

"No, my first option was Márquez. I think he deserved a third fight, but now everything is left up to negotiations. Promoter] Bob Arum made a better deal with Mosley, and they said Márquez had asked for too much money." Freddie Roach

According to Roach, the Mosley fight was more of a financial decision than anything. We already knew that as well, especially when Arum mentioned he gets to promote Mosley's next fight if Shane wins. I'm a bit stunned at the fact that Arum didn't listen to Roach or the millions of fans that wanted to see the fight against JMM. I've never seen Manny Pacquiao openly campaigning for a fight against Mosley. I've seen him comment more on Marquez than Mosley and Andre Berto combined.

The fight was a sham, fam.

He should have said all that during the post fight interview..when everybody was watching.

Talkin **** at a press conference is like talking behind Floyd's back....not as many people saw that.

I bet IF Floyd were to fight Victor that he would get more props than that Shane/Pac fiasco. Ortiz is young, primed and coming off of an impressive win over an undefeated fighter with an undefeated record. when has Pac ever fought anyone like that? Ortiz would have made the fight waaaay more competitive than Shane did. I still believe Shane took the dive. Arum already said that Pac fights are for entertainment purposes only. How can his fans keep giving him props for these fights?
