Shane is a bad actor period. He was smiling at Pac. Even when he got KD down he looked like the spanish dude from the movie "Diggstown" when James Woods did the motion with his thumb down to the fighter "Torres" the way Shane was laying on the floor and expression on his face, just showed that he was there for the check. All you needed to do was put a remote control in Shane's hand while he was on the floor. Bad performance by Shane.

How are you going to be smiling at Pac and scared of him at the same time? Keep touching gloves with him? also, I noticed when they clinched that Shane was in Pac's ear.

If he even took that fight, regardless as to the result, I would shut my mouth.

Ortiz' current position, - young, hungry, skilled, prime, and right on top of his game - does not fit the template of Manny's last 8 opponents.

Ortiz is not in the plan.
Line em up, Pacquiao is not scared of fighting anyone especially @ 147.

          Ortiz??

He won't survive Pacquiao, just because he beat an overrated fighter like Berto?

But I digress. Arum has stated after the fight that he won't deal with GBP and Ortiz is promoted by the latter so the likelihood of Pacquiao-Ortiz is nil. Unless Ortiz bolts GBP, then he will definitely be a candidate...easy pickings for Pacquiao no doubt. You know why? Ortiz was a sparring partner of Pacquiao so handling him is not rocket science hahaha.

Let the sparring partner Ortiz fight Mayweather, I bet that's a better fit for Floydie

EXACTLY! Arum ain't dealing with NOBODY that ain't under his umbrella and that's why the competitive fights are not happening for Pac. Everybody talking about Ortiz not being competitive against Pac but how can you guys cosign fighters like Clottey, Margarito or Mosley? Talking about excuses. I bet IF Floyd were to fight Victor that he would get more props than that Shane/Pac fiasco. Ortiz is young, primed and coming off of an impressive win over an undefeated fighter with an undefeated record. when has Pac ever fought anyone like that? Ortiz would have made the fight waaaay more competitive than Shane did. I still believe Shane took the dive. Arum already said that Pac fights are for entertainment purposes only. How can his fans keep giving him props for these fights?

I thought it was odd, all the friendly glove tapping and smiling and nonsense...

That doesn't mean much though, Mosley just needs to retire. He can't pull the trigger and is making a fool of himself. He's got that pretty, hot girl now, just go enjoy life...

It's strange that Clottey and Mosley both clammed up in the ring? Makes you think that they really had the goods to win and bob didn't want any mistakes happening. Pac fans will say that I am hating but after watching that fight and Mosley performance you have to question what really went down. Even at 39, Mosley could have done better than that. I wouldn't be surprised if Bernard Hopkins smacked Mosley. He totally sold out to make Pac look great. I have been watching boxing for a long time and Mosley career as well and he fought back more against Floyd and Mora than he did against Pac and Pac wasn't even moving or using defense, which would have made Shane landing a punch more easier. Arum gave Shane the instructions "Make it look like your scared of Manny and get knocked down in the 3rd like the video game fight simulation" Vasquez Jr/Jorge Arce was a waaay better fight.
Come on man, conspiracy theories? I have been watching boxing and Mosley for a long time too but your answers are in your post. Mosley didn't fight back against Floyd and Mora, they were the counterpunchers on the move and Shane tried to bring the fight to them. That's the main reason he was more active. Also, Shane is not a fighter that backs up, circles the ring and counterpunches. He used to be able to counter off pure reflexes but he was never a true counterpuncher. He forced that style on himself and it showed. One thing in common in Shane's past 3 fights was his inability to pull the trigger and his quick reflexes are pretty much gone. Pac was prime for an upset because he didn't use any angles, he looked anxious to bull forward and trade, and didn't have the hand/foot speed he usually does. As a Pac fan that version would eat straights all night from Floyd without landing much of anything while losing a wide UD, and would have gotten stopped mid to late rounds by the version of Shane that stopped Margs. I don't think Pac looked all that good and it showed the matchup was bull**** from the beginning. Oh yeah, that wasn't the first time Clottey clammed up. See Cotto rd 11-12, the second half of the Marg fight and the fact he has never had a high punch output to begin with.

Whether he was paid to or not - it's clear that a 30 year old Mosley would have outpointed (if not TKOed) Pacquiao. I love Pac - but unless the leg injury was bad and really slowed him down - I don't see a him beating a younger Mosley.

Clottey, Margs and Mosely are not "ordinary" opponents. Mosley is a future HOF. Granted he's not what he was but I, and many others, was looking forward to this fight.

I don't think Pac would have beaten a younger Mosley - but he shut out this version. Give Pac some credit. At least he's fighting.

I would love to see him fight Bradley at Jnr Welterweight. 2 yrs ago Bradley didn't have the experience to take on Pac. Now he does.
