I still want him to fight Cotto. Not now, maybe a couple fights more at 154.. Didn't know Canelo called out Marquez? How the hell does that pass -
I don't get!! The lady that was translating for Martinez in the beginning of the video BARELY knew english(she was getting everything wrong) & Ryan Burton obviously knows some spanish(cause he does talk to Martinez in spanish during this video & in other videos he has also spoken in spanish to the fighters), so ¿Why doesn't he do the translation himself or at least correct them when they translate the question or the fighters answer wrong? Or just get an official translator for boxing scene... Cause I've seen many videos on this site where the translator either gets the question wrong or doesn't translate the fighters answer correctly or will even get both wrong & I've also seen situations where the translator is from the fighters promotional company & they just twist or totally change the fighters answer around to what they would like or would want the fighter to say..Comment

Hello Tomasio. I agree that wasn't very good translation. Sergio had asked to use her as a translator so out of respect to him I went with the flow. I don't usually like to translate my own material. I find it flows better when I have someone else do it so I am not saying everything twice. Once in English and once in Spanish. If u watch my Chavez jr interview u will see it flowed WAY better.I don't get!! Even through I don't like to jump in you will see I basically translated a few questions for the Japanese media guys to keep it from stalling. Thankfully Sampson came in at the end and answered the last few questions.
I agree with you though. There are good translators and really bad translators who butcher quotes.Comment
