i agree. floyd was actually engaging mosley. mosley was just trying to see the final bell on both fights.

I say Mayweather/Mosley was the better fight, because you at least had Mosley attempting to do something.

This wasn't the case last night. ONce he felt the power, he simply seemed to close shop. He mostly became Clottey with better movement.

So, overall, the Mayweather fight was better to see in the long run.

But I would still say the greater nod goes to Pacquiao since it was his actions that kept the other guy from attempting to even advance.

Floyd kept shane from effecting advancing when he tried. But he tried because he felt he could.

U forgot to mention that Floyd looked brilliant beating Mosley and Pac looked confused, wild, and uncomposed.

Mayweather fought Mosley right after Mosley had DOMINATED Margarito! Floyd had a better more confident Mosley, Floyd was forced to PICK Mosley, because he felt disrespected by Mosley interrupting his postfight interview in the ring - after Floyd dominated King Marquez. Pacquiao PICKED Mosley after Mosley had two DISMAL back to back performances. Mosley asked Team-Pac for a fight right after Mosley DOMINATED Margarito, and was willing to even go down to 140lbs to get the fight....Pacquiao said no. Mayweather fought a CONFIDENT version of Mosley. Pacquiao fought a DISCOURAGED version of Mosley, EVIDENT by Mosley running the ENTIRE fight and NEVER committing to MIXING it up. Mosley wouldve fought Pac differently had Pac taken up the CHALLENGE right after Mosley OBLITERATED Margarito. Again, Pac fought a DISCOURAGED OLDER Mosley. Floyd Fought a "willing to commit" Mosley that was "riding high" after an OUTSTANDING performance against the "most feared & avoided fighter" in the division.

MMM....almost champ. I can almost agree with you. I would'nt go as far as saying that floyd is deteriorating. I would say that in that match up, Mosley was willing to go at Floyd. He got tagged for it, too. And he kept trying, to no avail.

To me that shows mosley had less respect for Floyd than he did for Pacquiao. From the moment he felt that left right from pacquiao, he seemed to retreat more and more as the rounds progressed.

Both took mosley's will...in different ways. One with defense and one with offense.

In hindsight, the offensive path was a much shorter one.

naw...he just had more to lose vs Mayweather.....he was the P4P #3 and the #1 ranked WW....plus it was his biggest payday...

he had nothing to lose vs Manny....the fight was given to him as a gift in exchange for Arum helping out Sugar Shane Mosley Promotions

I actually paid for Mosley/Mayweather, and wasn't disappointed at all. If I paid for Mosley/Pacquiao, I woulda' been really pissed off.

hmmm... I'd have to pick with:

                      A. A fight where old man mosley was attacking and some lady gaga fan retreating.

                      or

                      B. A fight where old man mosley is running for his life for the entire 12 rounds?
