Man, all this bull**** about Dumbquiao developing his boxing skills to another level is just that, bull****.
Last night, the old Dumbquiao reared his ugly head. Man, I almost fell for the hype too prior to May 7( a day that will be remembered in infamy). After recent several displays of beating the f**k out of his opponents like they stole somethin'. Homeboy could not cut off the ring against a 40 f**kin' year old has been.
I mean, i'll be honest, it's obvious that I'm a PBF fan. But, I call it how it is. Much of the blame goes to Shane for the lackluster fight last night. But, the way PAC fought made it worst than it already was !
Dumbquiao looked so amateurish last night, the way he kept following a 40 year old man around like a lost puppy(so much for all this talk about PAC and his "angles").
See, for those *******s who don't know **** about boxing, when a southpaw is facing a righty, the southpaw is suppose to circle to his right, so he'll stay out of the right-handed fighter's right-straight and be able to cutoff the ring.
But, Dumbquiao reverted to his old bad habits. Instead of circling to his right. He kept moving to his left, you don't have to be a pro to know that when you do this, it's like a dog chasing its own tail, you end up just going around and around in circles and nothing accomplished.
Also, PAC needs to realize that him being the smaller man, he has to simply work harder than the taller man who is backing away. There's really no secrets to it. But, we only saw him feint and use footwork at certain spots.
Joe Frazier is a great example of a short guy who constantly moved forward feinting his way in all night long. It has to be that kind of pressure to get it done when fighting tall guys who can jab and move. It is more tiring to do it that way, and you end up taking a few on the way in. But, it's definitely more effective than going around in circles.
If it was PBF in there last night, Dumbquiao would've gotten jabbed to death and followed up with straight rights, PBF would not have to work much as PAC would've kept walking into it due to the fact that he was circling to the right-handed fighter's firing range.
Also, PAC's wildness came back from the dead, as he was getting frustrated with Shane's movement, he kept lunging in again, and that left him wide open alot of times. Dumbquiao fans, you all know that PBF can pull that trigger faster than anybody out there and has terrific vision to see those kind of openings.
Below is a great example of what I'm talking about(PAC is playing the role of Griffin and Silva is PBF).

It's no secret Dumbquiao tends to get frustrated and lunges in when he has a moving target, that's why he's a sucker for jabs and lead rights.
