Sergio is extremely SLICK and he STICKS AND MOVES, he didn't STAND AND FIGHT WITH Williams OR Pavlik...AND WHY THE *** SHOULD HE? when he clearly has the SPEED ADVANTAGE!
Bottom line is that you and a few of these other people on this forum want these guys to change what they do to ENTERTAIN YOU and sorry but boxing don't work like that

Growing up a Hagler fan I hated Ray Leonard because he used a STICK AND MOVE STYLE and I knew Hagler would have problems chasing him down and he did, but it would be flat out IGNORANT FOR ME TO EXPECT LEONARD TO STAND AND FIGHT WITH HAGLER...that is the difference, once you know and understand what your watching...YOU HAVE A GREATER RESPECT FOR WHAT THEY DO!

Im black and I train in MMA.... Part of it is Boxing.... I come forward and is a power puncher.......I sense a lot of ENVY AND HATE TOWARDS AFRICAN AMERICAN ATHLETICS on this FORUM
is it because they dominated for SO LONG that people are just HAPPY TO FINALLY BE ABLE TO SEE SOMETHING NEW?
I don't know, all of this is just pure IGNORANCE TO ME! It is overrated boxings from ALL OVER THE WORLD and from EVERY RACE that people hype up in their own country but from some reason the African American fighters get the MOST CRITICISM!
Andre Ward is FAR FROM OVERRATED, I think it is just ****** to list him as overrated considering how well he has done in the Super 6, Ward is probably least hyped US GOLD MEDAL WINNER I ever seen. It wasn't until the Super 6 that most people just started taking Notice of Him...so how is he over hyped or overrated?
Over Hype to me is guys with WEAK RESUMES who really haven't fought nobody and holds a title and is being hyped up as "THE NEXT GREAT THING"
EXAMPLE: Saul Alvarez right now is OVER HYPED, David Lemieux was being OVER HYPED, Andre Berto was being OVER HYPED, Devon Alexander was being OVER HYPED, LUCIAN BUTE is probably the biggest HYPE JOB IN BOXING RIGHT NOW! I can admit it, as much as I am a fan of Erislandy Lara, he is being HYPED for his POTENTIAL and what he can POSSIBLY DO, not because of what he has already done as a pro. Abner Mares is getting some HYPE despite the fact that he wasn't impressive against Vic and many thought Vic won
So while people only point out African Americans HYPE JOBS, they are over looking SO MANY OTHERS
Just admit that your a ***in RACIST, you grew up watching African American fighters dominate boxing for so long that you developed a HATE FOR THEM instead of trying to SUGAR COAT it because your too much of a COWARD to be honest on a forum.
by the way SLICK is not a RACE, Willie Pep wasn't African American last time I checked and it is stories about Pep winning rounds with out THROWING A PUNCH, that is how SLICK HE WAS
Slick is simply just a more SUPERIOR ATHLETE using his athleticism and speed to his advantage, thus your Superior Athletic Abilities helps make you extremely hard to hit, SLICK has nothing to do with RACE and not all African Americans are "SLICK" in todays boxing not many of them are, Mayweather is the only one that is TRULY CONSIDERED SLICK
It is some younger AA fighters who are SLICK though: Adrien Broner (who a lot of people already hate hahaha), Henry Lundy (who a lot of people hate also IRONICALLY), Brad Solomon (who somebody listed as Overrated, which is just ****** to me since most people don't even know who he is at the moment

AA Fighters always been HATED ON though threw out HISTORY, people use to CRY ABOUT Pernell Whitaker style also, wasn't until he retired, that was when people gained MORE RESPECT FOR WHAT HE WAS ABLE TO DO.
Todays boxing fans are just FASCINATED WITH BRAWLERS and they think that is "BOXING" and everybody should FIGHT LIKE THAT! Brawlers fight like that because they don't have the athleticism to do what Boxers are able to do, so they have to stand toe to toe and fight, if they had the speed or Reflex to avoid taking so many punishment, they would use that to their advantage, NOBODY wants to get punched in the face for 10-12 Round...NOBODY!
Theres a difference between running and boxing...... Alot of AA like to run and cry to the ref whenever they get hit in the back of the head....
Bernard and Ward are one of the few that don't cry....
THe Brawler types are always compared to Mike Tyson.....
But they either have crap defense or have glass jaws.....
These are 2 problems with up and coming AA fighters.....

i pay up my hard earned cash to be entertained! all i know is that i will never buy any fight if the main event has boner or other slick african americans that use 'the sweet science' ****. martinez on the other hand, is entertaining. he trains to fight back not just run.

Well their you go, nobody is forcing you to buy anybodies PPV, just because your paying for something does not give you the right to tell someone how to fight
and how ****** are you if your going to order someone PPV and you know how they fight (Mayweather) then after his fighters you have the nervous to complain about how he fights YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WAS BUYING BEFORE YOU PAID FOR IT! Just like people knew Mosley looked like **** his last two fights...then those same idiots for some reason was expecting him to fight different against the Best Fighter P4P in Manny Pacquiao...REALLY? hahaha
