Patterson was afraid of Liston. He froze many times in that fight and didn't fight to his best ability. Saying Patterson ****** because of the Liston fights is like saying Michael Spinks ****** because of the Tyson fight.

He was still a quick mother****er at his best. At least as fast as Ali, and more powerful, at least with the left hook.
