Mayweather-Mosley Drug Testing And Last Night- Advice, Thoughts?

I'm worried about something which stems from the Mayweather-Mosley testing.

I remember there being discussions at the time about how there was no testing sometime before the fight.

Does anyone know how many days it was? I think it was 2 or 3 weeks before the fight. When the testing team for some reason didn't carry out any further tests on either Floyd or Shane.

Now here's the problem. First I want to make clear that I'm a life-long Floyd fan. If he fights Pac I think it would be a comfortable Floyd win. And I'm not just saying this after last night. Example- see here from years ago http://www.boxingscene.com/forums/sh...92&post6665492

But I must admit, I'm concerned now about PEDs after last night.

The Mayweathers have said a lot about how dominance like Pacquiao's isn't possible without PEDs and roiding.

I haven't seen the fight yet, so I'm really worried about what a lot of people are saying today that Pac didn't dominate Mosley as well as Floyd did.

If a boxer can't perform like Pac does without PEDs and roids and then Floyd performs so much better, then I'm wondering: what might Floyd have been taking to have been so much more dominant against Shane?

People have mentioned a lot on this forum regarding the 14 day cut-off that it's inadequate as drugs can still be taken to enhance your performance during that period. Does anyone know what Floyd might have taken then during that gap when they didn't test? Could it have been some of that stuff?

I really don't want it to be true. I'm a Floyd fan and I can't comprehend him cheating. But then the Mayweathers live boxing, so they know more about boxing than me and anyone else here. So if they say a boxer needs drugs to perform like Pac does, then I'm worried when my boy Floyd performs even better than that.

You are thinking that someone who did take the drug tests and was the one who proposed them might be cheating? Floyd was more impressive against Shane because he is is more skillful than Manny and is a smarter fighter. People are saying how great Manny is and how much he has changed since back then but in reality Manny hasn't improved that much, aside from the conditioning and the weight increase. I attribute most of Manny's success to his hard work and Alex Ariza's involvement with him. Manny is a good fighter but people give him a little too much credit, honestly.

I don't want to believe that, but yes he might have done if there was the two week or so gap between the final test and the fight.

I think Manny's success is down to hard work and conditioning as well.

But I think if the Mayweather's are right and his performances are due to PEDs and roids, then I'm trying to reconcile that fact with how someone can perform to an even higher standard and be clean.

I.e. if someone needs drugs to perform like Manny, then surely someone performing better than Manny needs drugs?

Again, no hate on Mayweather. I've said he beats Pac comfortably. But if Sr and Roger are right about performances like Manny needing drugs, I'm worried what they're putting into Floyd's system.

mayweather fan "manny must be on ped's because no one could do that unless they were on ped's!

mayweather fan "mayweather did much better against mosley!"

if no one could perform that well unless they were on ped's then obviously mayweather must be on ped's right? nooooo of course not!

seriously though floyd would never do ped's. his strong morals would never allow him to cheat the sport that he only partakes in because of the money. admitting to using xylocaine, refusing year round tests and only wanting to be tested during a select period of his choosing, beating women, linked to shootings, and taking long periods of time off to possibly cycle ped's but besides that he has a perfect record.

            Quoted for truth...

You forgot to mention that he grew up with parents that used and sold illegal drugs to minors.

CWs and old fighters coming of real bad losses is what made Mannys reputation bigger than what it is for real , Roach said Manny was in best shape of his life yesterday , the best to set foot in a ring , and old shot Mosley made him look ordinary and showed how many mistakes Manny makes that a good slick speedster will **** Mosley aint near the boxer Floyd is , speed is Mannys nightmare he only looks good against worn slow weight drained fighters .

Now its evident why they ducked Floyd for slow Clottey , Floyd would have killed Arums cash cow back then , lucky for them he has trials to keep him out of the ring , but they knew all that just wanted to keep dropping Floyds name .
