How long before Pacquiao gets passed as p4p king?

Without a doubt Pacquiao is the current p4p king, but his spot at the top doesnt look that safe now after his lackluster performance against Mosley. He looked really bad in this fight, and maybe it was just an off day, but still he looked like his skill had a serious set back, he looked like he did five years ago, and please don't say it had anything to do with Mosley, because he didn't do a damn thing the whole fight.

Maybe this is a result of fighting guys that everyone knows he's going to beat, and that's not how he got to the top, he got there by being challenged hard...and while Pacquiao keeps being put against these guys, there's #2 p4p Sergio Martinez who is getting really close to being #1.

Pacquiao-Martinez probably will never happen, but Martinez will eventually pass Manny just by fighting the best guys in his division while Manny fights the guys that only bring their fame and big names to the ring.

If Sergio or anyone else wants to be no1 they are really going to have to be consistent and show the world, and grasp that mythical title away from Pac, because people know not only what Pac has achieved, but also because of what they think he is capable of.

Sergio has done well with his FOTY accolade, and now he is known to the world with his good year..
Now he has to do that year after year.

Martinez doesn't have the opponents to do it. I mean what wins will propel him?
Manfredo, Chavez Jr, Kirkland? That's what fans don't realize.

Donaire is the only guy I could possible see doing it, but he has no interest in fighting Moreno, and only wants money fights against guys like Moliter and Vazquez (probably Arce now).

Besides, Manny looked like ****, but that still doesn't change the fact that he has been dominating and destroying opponents in the last 3 years.

He didn't look bad. Yes, he wasn't at his best, but that was due to Mosley's negative and spoiling tactics. I expected Mosley to go to war. Instead he fought in survival mode and was happy to reach the final bell and collect his pay check.

For me, only Martinez can surpass Pacquaio as p4p king, but he is at least 3-4 first class victories away from achieving it.

I will never put Mayweather above Pacquaio, unless he fights and beats him. His cowardice and running needs to stop.

ok but we shouldnt blame martinez for the lack of opponents at 160, we should b applauding the way he's dominating and getting them out of there unlike manny who couldnt stop clottey, margarito, mosley, when everyone knws he could have done it,,, pacquiao on the other hand does have quality opponents to chose from at 140 or 147 , mayb not a lot wit name recognition but guys that will put up a fight, and make pacquiao bring his best.

I like donaire, but i still dnt think he hasnt done enough yet to put him up there wit Martinez and Pacquiao.

Yea maybe it was an off nite for pacquiao, and he has given us great fights that he deserves the benefit of the doubt, but come on dude, mosley was there for the taking, and there was something off wit manny
