    good ref/bad ref and clinching..

so i just watched the pavlik fight and wss really impressed with the ref, he didnt allow holding, if they held, he would slap their glove or break them up. In that fight fight, i thought it was nice to see a ref, who had the right balance.

The whole repetoire of boxing, was allowed to be presented. Really excellent refereeing

fast forward to kenny ballless and the pac-shane fight. Before i get attacked by the pac fans, for being hurt, let me just say, that i had pac as a clear favorite and had a hard time seeing how shane would compete. And as im from denmark, i just wanted to see a good fight, where both fighters was allowed to do their best and showcase their strengths.

Looking at both fighters, there was only on area where shane was and is a superior fighter and thats the inside/clinch game. But even at the slighest hint of a clinch, ive never seen a ref jump in so fast

And what the hell was he thinking with the pac knockdown.

    ballless was awful.

the referees in general needs, to be better educated and have a ruleset, which gives the sport much more consistency.

compare this to an andrew ward fight and youŽd think, it was 2 completely different sets of rules.

I agree, stand on foot, throw = KD?

Yeah, the Pavlik ref did well, took him 1 or 2 rounds to start doing it quickly. No idea why Pavlik was getting so much stick from the commentry team either. I thought he did will coming back from rehab against an undeafeated fighter.

How did that judge score it a draw as well?

Can someone ell me the Pac-Mosley scorecards as I stopped watching as soon as it ended.

Why would pac fans attacked you? nothing hurtful in your post. Maybe you mistaken them for *****s who can't bear of the thought their idol is still on vacation and a remote chance of ending it.

This is why they need instant replay in boxing. Bayless should at the very least apologize and be fined and that knockdown should be rescinded.

That is a bull**** knockdown that should not be on Pacs resume.

lets keep the "*******" and "*****" out of this champ. Its a thread about refs

how did you see ballless refereeing..?

do you see the sport of boxing, lacking consistency with how some refs interpret the rules..?

as i said, im amazed as to how quickly, he seperated shane and pac. Compare to an andrew ward fight, youŽd think the rules were changed from fight to fight.

            Imo a serious problem.

              hey CH

perhaps you, as a pac fan, could also answer the questions i asked pakyo.

good call regarding instant replays, could be used for cuts caused by headbutt and as you said instances like the pac push-kd.
