Dont let it get to you. Its just a thread. Most of it is **** talking just to rub it in. Deep down inside wether they want to say it or not, I know they have respect for us in boxing just like we have for them. They show up to nearly every thread about a puerto rican so either its respect and want to rub it in or clear hate. I've met plenty of great mexican boxing fans at weigh ins and have a few good mexican friends & we have great discussions about boxing and the rivalry. If one gets off the topic here and begins talking about politics, eyebrows, green cards, tacos, rice & beans, etc. Then I choose to ignore.

Considering the shots Acre landed, what did Vasquez in, and caused his dad to throw in the towel was the fact that Vasquez was gassed and in no position to hurt Arce. If you watch the last 15 seconds prior, Arce was missing 95% of the shots he threw. Vasquez got out hustled... Needs to train for 12 rounds and not think he is going to be Tito Trinidad in every fight with the KO.

Arce connected a lot of solid punches over the twelve rounds and landed some quality ones flush on the target in the bunches that closed the show.

This is what Arce does; he wears you down.

I mean, he goes up 2 weight divisions after getting absolutely DESTROYED by Darchinyan and then he stops the stronger, younger man! This is definitely su****ious. He didnt beat anybody significant at 122 before this. He got a draw against Parra, that was his best fight at 122 before this!

I guess also WVJ's inexperience in big bouts also did him in tho..

First off great win for Arce, WV2 is good but he shiuld have known to stick to boxing, Arce is a ***ing brawler and a beast. Second, sorry dude - our people kicked the US Navys ass out of La Isla years ago after trying for so long. Third, our flag was originay way different but we ACCEPTED the flag we have now from an artist workng with the Puerto Rican section of the Cuban Revolutionary Party during a period of great unity between the two Islands; when we were both fighting for independence from Spain.
